American Thinker
By Steve McCann
While I have always been wary of and have written about his dishonesty, after the speech the president delivered the 13th of April regarding the federal budget, one that was chock full of lies, deceit, and crass fear-mongering, it must be said that Barack Obama is the most dishonest, deceitful, and mendacious person in a position of power I have ever witnessed.
That performance was the culmination of four years of outright lies and narcissism that have been largely ignored by the media, including some in the conservative press and political class who are loath to call Mr. Obama what he is in the bluntest of terms: a liar and a fraud. That he relies on his skin color to intimidate, either outright or by insinuation, those who oppose his radical agenda only adds to his audacity. It is apparent that he has gotten away with his character flaws his entire life, aided and abetted by the sycophants around him, thus he is who he is and cannot change.
The question becomes is he a compulsive liar or a sociopath? By definition:
A sociopath is typically defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others. A sociopath is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused -- it is done to get one's way). Sociopaths have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others. Sociopaths are often charming and charismatic, but they use their talented social skills in manipulative and self-centered ways.
A compulsive liar:
A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually developed in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary.
I came to the United States as a survivor of the Second World War. I spent my early years alone on the streets of a totally destroyed city somewhere in central Europe. In order to survive I had to steal food where I could and lie in order to survive. I spent a good part of my life, even after coming to America and being adopted, battling those inbred impulses. It was a never-ending struggle with successes and failures, but I was able to finally defeat those demons.
What I say about Barack Obama I do not do lightly, but because I fear greatly for this country and can, not only from personal experience but in my dealing with others, recognize those failings in a person whose only interest is himself and his inbred radical ideology, which as its lynchpin desires to transform the country into a quasi-totalitarian state by any means possible.
In the United States there is great deference paid to the occupant of the White House. Justifiably so, as that person is not only the chief operating officer of the country but also the head of state representing the nation around the globe. The president's actions and demeanor set the tone for not only the political class but the country as a whole. Over the centuries there have many exceptional but also a few inept men to hold the office of President.
Today so much power is now vested in the Office of President of the United States that honor and integrity must be a hallmark of a president's character. It is not with Barack Obama; he may well be the most dishonest and disingenuous occupant of the Oval Office in history, and will do more damage to the nation than all his predecessors combined.
His failings can no longer be excused by this historical deference or timidity fostered by race, with the euphemisms of spin, obfuscation, fabrication, or politics being used to avoid the truth. Obama is extremely adept at exploiting the celebrity culture that has overwhelmed the society as well as the erosion of the education system that has created a generation or more of citizens unaware of their history, culture as well as historical ethical standards based on Judeo-Christian teaching.
While the future of the country depends on dramatically altering the economic and governing landscape, it cannot do so unless the opposition politicians and average citizens forcefully challenge and respond to the lies and machinations of Barack Obama and his allies without fear of what may be said about them or to them. As for me, I have already experienced far worse than anything that could be said or done to me. My only concern is for the welfare of my fellow citizens and the noblest experiment in the history of mankind: the United States.

U.S. shifts to closer contact with Egypt Islamists
June 30, 2011
Arshad Mohammed, Reuters
The United States has decided to resume formal contacts with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, a senior U.S. official said on Wednesday, in a step that reflects the Islamist group’s growing political weight but that is almost certain to upset Israel and its U.S. backers.
“The political landscape in Egypt has changed, and is changing,” said the senior official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “It is in our interests to engage with all of the parties that are competing for parliament or the presidency.” Read More
Financial System Is A Shell Game
June 30, 2011
The Economic Collapse
The entire U.S. financial system has become a gigantic shell game. While it is still in motion, a shell game can be mesmerizing to watch. But when it ends the consequences can be painful. So exactly what is a shell game? According to Wikipedia, a shell game "is portrayed as a gambling game, but in reality, when a wager for money is made, it is a confidence trick used to perpetrate fraud." Sadly, that is exactly what is happening on the global stage today. The Federal Reserve is like a con artist that is desperately trying to stay one step ahead of everyone else. The folks at the Fed know that the debt that the U.S. government has accumulated is not sustainable and will eventually collapse. They also know that the U.S. dollar is eventually going to become essentially worthless. But for now the Federal Reserve is putting on a grand show and is trying to keep everyone believing that the game is fair and legitimate. Read More

Nerves Show on Team Obama
"Recent scrambling by the president’s political advisers indicates they’re very worried about his reelection chances."
June 29, 2011
By Josh Kraushaar
It’s been a rough June for the White House. Instead of being able to run a campaign taking credit for economic improvement, President Obama will, according to the latest forecasts, be trying to win four more years amid a grim economy next year. The president’s reelection team, once hoping to run on a “Morning in America” theme now doesn’t have that luxury. No wonder, the president’s advisers over the past month have been making moves that suggest they’re awfully concerned about his prospects:
1. Searching for an economic message. Veteran Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg recently offered perceptive advice to the president’s team by criticizing its “getting the car out of the ditch” metaphor meant to suggest the economy is slowly improving. As Greenberg wrote: “People thought they still were in the ditch.”
This is a time when the president needs to find his inner Bill Clinton, and feel Americans’ pain. If he wants to be one of the few presidents to win reelection in a stagnant economy, he’ll have to devote less time to defending past policies, like the auto bailout, and more to offering specific solutions to help people get back to work. Think a 21st century version of FDR’s fireside chats.
But there are few signs that the president’s economic messaging has changed. Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently said Democrats own the economy, but they don’t seem to be adapting their message to the bad economy likely to face them in November 2012. Read More

Los Alamos Fire: EPA Testing for Radiation
"Environmental Protection Agency cannot be trusted to provide accurate information about health threats"
June 29, 2011
By Paul Joseph Watson
The wildfire that threatens to consume the Los Alamos nuclear lab in New Mexico is now approaching the perimeter of the facility, with the Environmental Protection Agency on radiation alert for the deadly consequences of 20,000 barrels of nuclear waste going up in flames.
Having been miles away from the nuclear lab just yesterday, the fires have now reached to within 50 feet of the facility, with officials fearing a “major calamity” because the nuclear waste is not securely contained in a concrete structure, but is unbelievably stored “in a sort of fabric-type building that a fire could easily consume,” according to former top security official Glen Walp.
“The concern is that these drums will get so hot that they’ll burst. That would put this toxic material into the plume. It’s a concern for everybody,” said Joni Arends, executive director of the Concerned Citizens for Nuclear Safety, an anti-nuclear group.
The EPA has responded by bringing in “air monitors, along with a special airplane that checks for radiation levels,” reports ABC News. Read More

Is Obama Making His Next Career Move?
"That Axis of Evil is trying to grasp worldwide power right now, and if Obama has his way, he will be at the head of the parade."

Obama always seems to crave more ego gratification. There is no limit to his thirst for personal power and glory. The slogan "The Audacity of Hope" is taken straight from Napoleon's creed, "L'audace, l'audace, toujours l'audace!" Always act audaciously on the battlefield, because your opponents will never predict your dangerous moves. Your enemies will be shocked and overwhelmed by the risks you take.
That's how Napoleon managed to kill tens of millions of Europeans in his attempt to conquer the world after 1800. George Patton used the audacity strategy to beat Nazi armored divisions in World War II. Hitler used it with the Blitzkrieg. It's also the theory of the Big Lie: You tell such breath-taking whoppers that normal people can't imagine that you don't believe a word of it yourself. Most people will believe in Big Lies more than little lies, if you repeat the Big Lies over and over again -- and if you control the Organs of Propaganda. Which the left did until the internet arose.
Obama has a lifetime of faith in an imperialistic creed, Leninist-Marxism of the third-world variety. That was the dream his Kenyan father had. Read More

The Un-American American President
June 29, 2011
ByJay Clarke
Something is wrong with Barack Obama. We all know it. We all see it. When he speaks about America, Americans cringe. There is a strangeness to his manner, an unease when he talks about America. He appears awkward and uncomfortable. His speech seems performed and practiced yet, oddly halting. It's reminiscent of American POW's in Vietnam or Iraq reading a forced confession. His eyes, expressions, and vocal tone are disconnected from his words. The words themselves often sound American, but the delivery is clinical and detached. His attempts at patriotic sentiment ring hollow and phony. "Once again, with feeling!" is how Americans are left feeling. He just doesn't seem right. He doesn't seem like, well...one of us.
Before anyone "goes there" and makes accusations of racism, this is about a pervasive, nagging, national perception that Barack Obama does not intuitively understand or appreciate America or Americans. Not our past. Not our present or future. He just doesn't act or sound like an American. In fact, there are good reasons and ample evidence for why.
For many of us, "being an American" was a normal part of our collective upbringing. We learned it in school. We said the Pledge of Allegiance every morning right alongside our teachers. Even in liberal Southern California the day began with the Pledge often followed by singing "God Bless America" or "America the Beautiful." Annual "Flag Ceremonies" were held with quotations from the Declaration of Independence and patriotic songs performed by the student body, in public, for parents and passersby to enjoy. There were even songs that mentioned God. Christmas was celebrated, in school. It was understood that God was integral to the founding of America and that The Creator was the true source of our liberties. Schools reinforced parental authority, being a good citizen, and responsibility to God. Religion was never preached or taught, but it was also never denigrated and never censored. Read More

Tripping Up The TSA
"Yet, on the bright side, overt obstructionism by “judges” in favor of the burgeoning national para-military police state can only draw the entire judiciary’s credibility and even legitimacy into question—for which the “judges” have no answer that any thinking American will accept. And the sooner the last vestige of credence is stripped from rogue jurists, the sooner Americans will realize what other steps need to be taken to bring this situation under control."

It seems as if every day someone posts on the Internet a new video documenting the ever-escalating level of oppressive police-state behavior from the TSA. In many of these instances, TSA officials explicitly are heard making the claim that, because flying on a commercial air carrier is supposedly a “privilege”, rather than a “right”, passengers can be required to surrender their constitutional rights under the Fourth Amendment (and, presumably, under all other provisions of the Constitution as well) in order to be allowed to enter the supposedly “secured” areas of a terminal or to board a flight. Passengers are told that they have no justifiable complaint against the ill treatment they receive at the blue-gloved hands of the Blueshirts, because by entering the terminal they have implicitly agreed to “conditions” that are imposed on all airline travelers. This rationalization has been put forward on numerous occasions by various higher-ups in the TSA, and by their apologists in the big media, as well.
Unfortunately, as with most pronouncements on constitutional matters emanating from public officials and their shills these days, this claim is more than simply lame. It is an affront to the intelligence of every American. Read More

Mark Levin Unloads on Chris Wallace For His Awful Attack on Michele Bachmann

Mark Levin said Wallace’s apology was not sincere.
It wasn’t. In fact it took 30 hours for Wallace to finally call Michele Bachmann and apologize over the phone.

Levin was not happy with the way Wallace basically called Bachmann a flake yesterday and said we must respond if we want these unfair attacks on conservatives to stop. He defended Bachmann by talking about her career and suggested that she probably has a higher IQ than Obama, even before he used cocaine. Ouch!
He goes on to say that there is no way Wallace would have referred to a liberal, especially a minority in those terms and goes even further to say that the only reason Wallace apologized is because the people rose up in anger, not because of his own sensibilities.

Cancer Surges In Body Scanner Operators; TSA Launches Cover-Up
FOIA documents reveal how “large number of workers have been falling victim to cancer, strokes and heart disease”
June 28, 2011

Fearful of provoking further public resistance to naked airport body scanners, the TSA has been caught covering up a surge in cases of TSA workers developing cancer as a result of their close proximity to radiation-firing devices, perhaps the most shocking revelation to emerge from the latest FOIA documents obtained by the Electronic Privacy Information Center.
After Union representatives in Boston discovered a “cancer cluster” amongst TSA workers linked with radiation from the body scanners, the TSA sought to downplay the matter and refused to issue employees with dosimeters to measure levels of exposure.
The documents indicate how, “A large number of workers have been falling victim to cancer, strokes and heart disease.” Read More

Media Beck & Family Harassed During Outdoor Movie Night in NYC Park
June 28, 2011The Blaze
There are those who love freedom of expression, as long as it’s not conservatives who are doing the expressing. Just ask Glenn Beck. On radio Tuesday, he told the stunning story of how he and his family were harassed during an outdoor movie in New York City’s Bryant Park.
For those unfamiliar with Bryant Park, it hosts weekly showings of classic films during the summer months. Attendees bring blankets and picnic dinners and sprawl out on the park’s great lawn while watching the films on a giant screen.
As Beck explained, he attended Monday night‘s public showing of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The 39 Steps” with his wife and daughter. During the film, he was ridiculed, had someone “kick a cup” of wine on his wife and on his blanket, and even witnessed another person stand up and yell, “We hate conservatives here!”
“These people were some of the most hateful people I have ever seen,” Beck said. “All I wanted to do is go out on a blanket with my family and have dinner in the afternoon sun and sit around Americans, not like-minded Americans, and just watch a movie in the park. And last night at about‑‑ when the movie was just about over, my wife and I got out because it was hostile.”
Later, when Beck left near the end of the movie, the crowd applauded.
“I don’t know what kind of victory you thought you won,” Beck said on radio in response, and later added, “I swear to you I think if I would have suggested, and I almost did, wow, does anybody have a rope, because there’s a tree here, you could just lynch me. And I think there would have been a couple in the crowd that would have.”
The story offered Beck an opportunity to deliver a message to conservatives:
All through the evening, I wanted to say to you today, please, please, please don’t ever treat anybody like that. If Van Jones comes and sits next to you, please don’t treat anybody like that, and then I realized I don’t have to say that to you. I was there at 8/28. I saw when people were pointing their finger in your face and calling you a racist, setting you up, egging you on, I saw how you reacted. I don’t have to tell you that.
Later in the evening, he admitted he had to call his daughter and console her because she was so distraught.
You can listen to Beck tell the story below:

Patriotism Hijacked

Most normal people want to contribute and give back.
Some people take it to an extreme and are willing to risk their lives.
These are noble impulses.
The problem is not thinking the whole proposition through.
Are you really “serving your country” by going where the devils in Washington send you to?
The greatest shame in America is that many of the nation’s most honorable, hard working, courageous people are serving the government instead of the nation’s highest principles.
There is s world of difference as Howard Zinn makes so eloquently clear in this short clip.

America is a sovereign nation, a constitutional Republic that will celebrate the 235th anniversary of its declaration of independence in 1776 and the 223rd anniversary of its Constitution which became effective when the State of New Hampshire became the ninth State to ratify it in 1788.
By most indications it is a nation in its death throes. Its original values and virtues are being jettisoned and that is always a sign of internal rot. The passage of a law legalizing gay, same-sex marriage in New York State is just one example. It becomes the sixth State to do so.
Families are regarded as the keystone to a healthy society. When they begin to disintegrate or are redefined as same-sex, most observers conclude that a range of social problems will ensue.

Texans to Launch ‘Citizen Filibuster’ Over TSA Groping
"Campaign seeks to pressure public servants into following will of the people"
June 27, 2011
Paul Joseph Watson
Texans outraged by repeated attempts on behalf of state representatives working in consort with the federal government to kill legislation that would ban invasive TSA groping are set to launch a ‘citizen filibuster’ that seeks to pressure public servants into following the will of the people.
Despite the fact that the anti-groping legislation in Texas passed the House unanimously last month and also looked set to sail through the Senate, repeated dirty tricks by the likes of Speaker Joe Straus and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst have sabotaged a bill that merely seeks to reinforce laws already codified in the Fourth Amendment.
With lawmakers going AWOL for a vote on the legislation Friday, we have now learned that a hearing by the Texas House State Affairs Committee scheduled to take place today has been cancelled and the bill is all but dead. The legislation is likely to be replaced with a toothless Joint House Resolution that does little to address the epidemic of TSA abuse, most recently characterized by an incident in which TSA goons forced a 95-year-old sick woman to remove an adult diaper for screening, and merely recommends that Congress pick up the baton. In today’s backwards business world, it is not uncommon to find that the people who are most willing to misrepresent themselves are the people who find the greatest success. Honesty, integrity, and honor, are not exactly respected qualities in a land of cutthroats and thieves. The time of the corporate pirate and the middle-management turncoat, however, is soon coming to an end. In the future, it will be our sincerity, and our tangible ability, that will allow us to make our way in life. No longer will the ass kissers of the world have the upper hand. There will be no “ladder” to climb. Our personal progress will be determined by our steady will and the level of effort we wish to put forth, NOT by the “insiders” we happen to know. It will be a far different atmosphere than we have been conditioned to expect…

Those who are able to cast off the old and outdated method of business will do well. Those who are able to adapt to a destabilized economic environment and focus on necessities rather than extravagances will survive. Others likely will not. The leaders of the current business system will no doubt find themselves paupers in an Alternative Economy in which their limited skill set is rendered obsolete. Read More

Legislating Through Regulations
June 25, 2011
By Frank Salvato

I have often written about “the bright shiny thing,” an event that is sure to catch the mainstream media’s and public’s eye while, in fact, something much more important is taking place. It is a common practice amongst politicos from both sides of the aisle, but a practice heavily employed by the Progressive Left. Movies have even been made about it. Wag the Dog comes to mind as a perfect, albeit fictitious, example of the execution of a “bright, shiny thing” strategy.
The Obama Administration, having completely annihilated any claim to being a “transparent” government, uses the “bright, shiny thing” strategy with an artful, even if nefarious, prowess, doing so while maintaining plausible deniability. As a life-long student of Chicago politics, to watch this administration employ the “bright, shiny thing” strategy is to watch an exercise in political beauty, even if it is being employed to usurp the founding philosophies of our nation, while paying short-shrift to the United States Constitution.
The Obama Administration’s use of the “bright, shiny thing” strategy has been one of subtle consistency. Shortly after Mr. Obama’s election, then-Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, was quoted as saying,
“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that, it’s an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before...” Read More

Mexican Convoy of Soldiers, Weapons Gets ‘Lost’ & Ends Up Crossing U.S. Border
June 24, 20111The Blaze
A convoy of three Mexican military trucks loaded down with soldiers and weapons may have violated territorial sovereignty near Laredo, TX on Thursday, driving through a border checkpoint and crossing into the United States.
KGNS-TV reports the crossing happened at a section known as Bridge Number Two:
According to the station, which interviewed Customs and Border Protection, officers at the crossing were baffled when they heard the trucks were on their way and called Mexican authorities:
A CBP spokesperson says they got on the phone with Mexican authorities after being alerted that the military trucks were heading their direction loaded down with soldiers and weapons.
Mexican leaders say the soldiers, who had just been deployed to Nuevo Laredo, didn’t know the area, got lost and then made their way through Bridge Two.
It’s unclear if the U.S. border agents tried to stop the troops or let them through.
This isn’t the first time Mexican troops have crossed the border recently. In 2008, controversy ensued after Mexican troops crossed into the U.S. and detained a border agent:

Al Gore, Agenda 21 And Population Control
The rabid "environmentalists" behind the green agenda intend to take all human activity and put it into a box called "sustainable development".
June 23, 2011
The American Dream
Imagine going to sleep one night and waking up many years later in a totally different world. In this futuristic world, literally everything you do is tightly monitored and controlled by control freak bureaucrats in the name of "sustainable development" and with the goal of promoting "the green agenda". An international ruling body has centralized global control over all human activity. What you eat, what you drink, where you live, how warm or cold your home can be and how much fuel you can use is determined by them. Anyone that dissents or that tries to rebel against the system is sent off for "re-education". The human population is 90 percent lower than it is today in this futuristic society, and all remaining humans have been herded into tightly constricted cities which are run much like prisons. Does all of that sound good to you? Well, this is what Agenda 21 is all about. Read More

Geithner: “No alternative” but to raise taxes on small businesses
Jun 23, 2011 By Dan Cleary
Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) did a fantastic job yesterday making Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner squirm in front of the House Small Business Committee. Geithner claimed there was “no alternative” but to raise taxes on America’s small businesses, unless we wanted to (gasp!) shrink government programs like education. So, rather than make even the tiniest reduction in the size of our bloated federal government, the Obama administration instead would rather raise taxes on job-creating small businesses in the midst of a horrific recession.
And what good would that do? Not much, according to the CBO, which just reported that our deficits would be unsustainable even with Clinton-era tax revenue.
Ellmers wasn’t buying Geithner’s mumbo-jumbo, and she even got in a little zinger at the end!

Awful… President Obama Makes Horrible Mistake Dishonoring Medal of Honor Winners
June 23, 2011
By Jim Hoft
This was absolutely awful.
Barack Obama made another horrible mistake today.
The president visited the 10th Mountain Division today and congratulated them on their service. Then he told the soldiers that he had given the Medal of Honor to Jared Monti who came back from Iraq alive.
Jared Monti was actually killed in Iraq in 2006.
How sad.
This ranks up there as one of his worst gaffes ever.
How awful.

“First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously.“Blackfive caught the president’s horrible gaffe.
As we all know, SSG Sal Giunta, of the 173rd Airborne, was the first living recipient (2011) of the MOH who fought in Iraq/Afganistan. SFC Jared Monti, 10th Mountain Division, was KIA in Afghanistan in 2006. He was posthumously awarded the MOH by Obama in 2009.Here’s the video.
How does the Commander-in-Chief mix these heroes up? He put that medal around Giunta’s neck and he stood with Monti’s parents as they grieved.
This ranks up there as one of his worst gaffes ever.
How awful.

A Firestorm On The Eastern Horizon
"If you are a corporate banking globalist with visions of Utopia dancing in your head, what do you do? The Middle East is and always has been an incredible waste of time, energy, capital, and of course, human lives. Every civilization that has attempted to tame and corral the region has met with resounding frustration and defeat. Every empire that moves to extend its borders around its existing cultures has withered under the strain of constant war and revolution. Long before petroleum became a sought after commodity and long after its free flow was established, the Middle East has been used as a fulcrum point for turning nations and worlds inside out. From crusades for the holy land, to crusades for oil, to crusades for “WMD’s” and the “downtrodden masses”; we have been regaled for centuries by governments and elitists with elaborate rationalizations for indefinite war within the cradle of civilization. Our government in particular has seen fit to topple dictatorships, install new dictatorships, embroil our troops in the quagmire of nation building, instigate social instability and civil unrest, fund terrorist organizations, elevate madmen, and then brandish them like weapons to frighten the American public into relinquishing their civil liberties. Every decade, and every new layer of conflict, brings the U.S. closer to the breaking point, and closer to bankruptcy. Read More
Planes, trains, and automobiles: TSA to grope travelers on all forms of transportation
June 22, 2011
By Ethan A. Huff
The enemy of freedom, the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA), as well as its mother ship, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is on a mission to grope every single traveler in the US. Whether you travel by airplane, train, ship, bus, freight truck, or potentially in the future even your own private vehicle, the TSA wants to be there to treat you like a criminal and feel up your private parts.
According to a recent report in Mother Jones, the TSA has requested 12 more units for its growing fleet of Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) teams, which are nothing more than unconstitutional security checkpoints eerily similar to those implemented throughout Germany during Hitler's reign. National Debt
"A horrific economic collapse is coming. It is going to change the world. You better get ready."
June 22, 2011
The Economic Collapse
It really is hard to find the words to describe the true horror of the national debt. The U.S. government has been on the greatest debt binge in all of human history, and a day of reckoning is coming that is going to be so painful that it is going to shock America to the core. We have lived so far above our means for so long that none of us really has any concept of what "normal" is like anymore. The United States has enjoyed the greatest party in the history of the world, but now this decades-old party is ending and the bills are coming due. It was Dick Cheney who famously said that "deficits don't matter". Well, try telling that to the nation of Greece right about now. The horror that Greece is just beginning to experience is a preview of what is going to happen to us as well. Only when it happens to us it is going to be so much worse, because when we go down we are going to bring the entire global financial system down with us. Read More

In the United States today, it is not just the economy that is crumbling. The entire fabric of society is coming apart as well. Literally almost wherever you look you can find rampant corruption in America. Our federal government is corrupt, our state and local governments are corrupt, our corporations are corrupt and unfortunately average Americans seem to become more corrupt all the time. As corruption becomes widespread in America, trust is breaking down. It is very difficult to know who to trust these days. But a society cannot function without trust. CBO: Obama’s Failed Stimulus Bill Almost Doubled U.S. Debt…
June 22, 2011
By Conn Carroll
A new report from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) finds that President Obama’s economic stimulus program helped nearly double U.S. debt.
The 2011 Long-Term Budget Outlook, released Wednesday morning, reports that the “the combination of automatic budgetary responses” and Obama’s stimulus “had a profound impact on the federal budget.” According to CBO projections, before Obama’s stimulus became law, federal debt equaled 36 percent of GDP and was projected to decline slightly over the next few years. Instead, thanks in large part to the stimulus, debt reached 62 percent of GDP by 2010. Read More

Mark Levin explains America to Fareed Zakaria
June 21, 2011
The Right Scoop
Zakaria wants to change the Constitution to ‘fix’ our national and senatorial elections to make them more democratic. He doesn’t like the Electoral College and he doesn’t like the fact that every state has the same amount of senators despite the population of the people. He cites that Constitution has been changed 27 times and that unlike the founders who created a new document in Philadelphia instead of using the Articles of Confederation, he just wants to make a small change to it.
Levin decided Zakaria needed a lesson in America and proceeded to explain why we hold our elections the way we do, noting that Presidents and Senators were never meant to be directly elected by the population. It was all a apart of what made us a Republic. He continued on with the issue of slavery (as cited by Zakaria) and it blossomed into a great monologue about why the founders worked so hard to create the America we know and love.

TSA Showdown a Watershed Moment in Battle For Freedom
"Federal response to likely passage of anti-pat down bill could provoke massive states’ rights backlash"
June 21, 2011
By Paul Joseph Watson
A bill that would criminalize invasive TSA pat downs in Texas has risen like a phoenix from the flames, with Governor Rick Perry being forced to include the item on the agenda for the current special session of the legislature, setting the stage for what could potentially become a watershed moment in the battle to peel back a federal power grab that has characterized the advance of big government.
Despite initially shirking responsibility by erroneously claiming that the bill did not have enough support to pass, Governor Perry was forced to place the item on the special session agenda yesterday, meaning TSA workers could face a year in jail or a $4,000 fine if they “touch the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of another person, even through that person’s clothing for the purpose of granting access to a building or a form of transportation,” according to the text of the legislation.

Ex-CIA Agree Govt is Covering Up Phony Birth Certificate to Prevent “Black Backlash”
June 18, 2011By Bob Unruh, WND
Retired Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, the chief of Stand Up America, a national security expert and Fox News contributor, says the “Certificate of Live Birth” released in April by the White House as “proof positive” of President Obama’s Hawaiian birth is a forgery, but the FBI is covering the fraud and no one in Congress is willing to tackle the situation because of fears of a “black backlash” if the failings of the nation’s first black president are revealed.
In an interview today with Greg Corombos for WND, Vallely, who previously has expressed concerns about whether the Obama administration is in violation of the U.S. Constitution, said, “His actual birth certificate has never been found in Hawaii nor released from Hawaii hospital there, Kapiolani hospital there, if it in fact did exist.”
“We’ve had three CIA agents, retired, and some of their analytical associates look at it, and all came to the same conclusion, that even the long-form was a forged document,” Vallely said.
“No members of Congress will take this on. The word I get out of Washington is that they don’t want to challenge this because it would be in fact a felony offense and in some cases may be even treasonous and [they are] afraid of a black backlash from some of the urban areas,” Vallely said.
“But that’s a very poor excuse for not taking necessary steps to make sure this president in fact is a legitimate president under Article 2 and he is a born U.S. citizen.”
The departments of government designed to uncover wrongdoing, in this case, are on the wrong side, he said.
“I think they’re (the FBI) covering for this administration. I think the corruption within this administration is so proliferated through the agencies of government now, we’re just in a bad situation here. I think the lack of confidence in our government is growing and many feel that not only all the members of Congress but even our courts are corrupted at this time,” he said.
The questions over Obama’s eligibility to occupy the Oval Office under the requirements in the Constitution that call for a “natural born citizen” have been raised since before he was elected.

Hyperstagflation, here we come…
June 16, 2011
By Brandon Smith
I imagine sometimes in my most optimistic moments that one day I will live in the midst of a true free market economy, where the tides of trade and investment, the ebb and flow of commerce, are a rather beautiful thing. A marketplace without centralized manipulation, were legitimate supply and demand are elevated instead of obscured, and toxic financial instruments, crooked corporate institutions, and even faulty currencies, are allowed to finally meet their long deserved demise because they no longer serve the needs of our nation and our culture. I imagine an economy that is not only continuously shedding off old skins and renewing itself as our society grows, but one whose primary purpose is to nurture and expedite that growth. I imagine an economy that works FOR the people, not against them. Like I said, “optimistic".
In today’s economy, we have something quite different. We are imprisoned in a labyrinthian deathtrap of a mainstream system, one that feeds endless fiat formaldehyde into the crusted veins of a long since corpsified infrastructure; a financial golem, a wraith, a thing that creeps across the dark horizon of our country’s future waiting to unleash a special kind of hell. A thing that should not exist.

Is This It? Mass Rioting, Civil Unrest In Greece As Economists Warn Of Global ‘Armageddon Scenarios’
June 16, 2011
By Steve Watson
As protesters continue to run riot in the streets, economists are warning that the whole of Europe and by extension, the rest of the world could face financial armageddon should Greece default on its debt, in the absence of a second bailout.
Financial experts are warning of a ‘Lehman Moment’ as the European markets are beginning to show signs of unraveling in the wake of the Greek crisis.
“The markets have moved from simply pricing in a high probability of a Greek debt default to looking at a scenario of it becoming disorderly and of contagion spreading to other economies like Portugal, like Ireland, and maybe Spain, Italy and Belgium.” a former UK Treasury official told Bloomberg news. White House warns Congress against 'mixed messages' on Libya
Impeach!
June 15, 2011

The White House said Wednesday that it will send a report and legal analysis to Congress outlining the mission in Libya and the administration's legal rationale for believing that President Obama is acting in accordance with the War Powers Act.
White House press secretary Jay Carney said that the more than 30-page report and analysis will be sent to Congress Wednesday afternoon.
Carney also issued a warning, saying it is "important for Congress not to send mixed signals about a goal… we all share."
Reps. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), Walter Jones (R-N.C.) and eight other members announced a lawsuit against the administration on Wednesday. The lawmakers say that the White House broke the law when it launched military operations against Libyan strongman Col. Moammar Gadhafi in March without congressional authorization. Read More

A joint VIPR “security exercise” involving military personnel has Transportation Security Administration workers covering 5,000 miles and three states, illustrating once again how the TSA is turning into a literal occupying army for domestic repression in America.
The TSA, in alliance with a whole host of federal, state, local agencies as well as military personnel, is currently conducting a massive “security exercise” throughout Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
“The participating teams are composed of a variety of TSA assets including federal air marshals, canine teams, inspectors and bomb appraisal officers. They will be joined by state and local law enforcement officials to supplement existing resources, provide detection and response capabilities. The exercise will utilize multiple airborne assets, including Blackhawk helicopters and fixed wing aircraft as well as waterborne and surface teams,” reports the Marietta Times. Read More

Bilderberg Plan to Save Eurozone in Tatters
"Activist spotlight on globalist agenda has elite running scared"
June 14, 2011
By Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
The Bilderberg Group’s plan to rescue the eurozone and preserve future plans for a global currency is in tatters, as the Greek debt crisis spirals out of control and the return of national currencies to replace the euro becomes a real possibility.
Bilderberg were successful in achieving their objective of saving the single currency from collapse following last year’s conference in Spain, but their efforts this year appear to be in vain, with economic analysts increasingly predicting the demise of the euro and a return to national monetary sovereignty.
Writing in the Financial Times, economist Nouriel Roubini predicts that the eurozone is heading for a break up, forecasting a return to national currencies and the death of the euro following a period of five years. Read More

CNN debate’s biggest loser: CNN
"The entire event was an embarrassment."
June 14, 2011
By Ed Morrissey
Actually, the headline is a little misleading. The biggest losers at last night’s CNN debate were the people who tuned in for political enlightenment, and ended up watching a two-hour game show. CNN’s moderator, John King, had me thinking of Rudyard Kipling and “good old grinnin’, gruntin’ Gunga Din” — but without the ironic redemption. Any political insight got lost in King’s continuous “uh uh uh uh uh” soundtrack that kicked in within seconds of a Republican attempting to speak. Not that there was much insight to be had in a format that insisted on asking “This or That?” questions, such as “Thin crust or deep dish?”
As I wrote in my column for The Week moments after the debate concluded, it’s not that we went into the debate with high expectations anyway, but CNN managed to fail to meet even the low bar set previously by the media for presidential debates: Read More

Obama Admits: Sometimes I Think ‘One Term is Enough’
June 14, 2011
The Blaze
WASHINGTON (The Blaze/AP) — President Barack Obama says his wife and daughters aren’t “invested” in him being president and would have been fine had he decided against running for re-election. But he says they believe in what he’s doing for the country.
Asked about his family’s reaction to his wanting another term, Obama said: “Michelle and the kids are wonderful in that if I said, `You know, guys, I want to do something different,‘ They’d be fine. They’re not invested in daddy being president or my husband being president.”
He also said “there are days where I say that one term is enough:” Read More

Weiners, Wusses and Wonks
"What hath Anthony Weiner wrought? Clarity"
June 13, 2011
By Stuart Schwartz
It is now crystal clear that our elites -- the ruling class, the insiders who tell us where, when, and how to live our lives--are nothing more than a collection of Wieners, Wusses and Wonks. And as surely as the words of telegraph inventor Samuel Morse ("What hath God wrought") signaled the beginning of the modern mass communication era and the transformation of the United States for the 20th century, so will this Democrat leader's grotesque digital dissemination of his private parts bring about the transformation needed by this century -- the realization that our political and media elites are among the worst this nation has to offer.
As the New York Post headlined it, "Erections have consequences." I am hopeful that this latest scandal will bring us to the realization as nothing else has that it is time to rid ourselves of the self-serving elites that have corrupted our institutions. They have created, as Mark Steyn of National Review puts it, "a spendaholic, grabafeelic, paramilitarized bureaucracy-without-end (that is) bankrupting" our future and killing this fine nation. "Take back America" is more than just a Tea Party slogan; it is a precondition for restoring fiscal sanity and the opportunities that come from American exceptionalism. And from whom need we take it back? From a political and media elite populated by three classes of dysfunctional individuals: Weiners, Wusses, and Wonks. Read More

Easy First Steps To Building Your Barter Network
"From here on out, we make our own destinies. Make yours a good one…"

By Brandon Smith
The trading of goods without the use of paper currency is not a difficult concept. People all across the country do it everyday. Barter, in its simplest sense, is not dead, and never will be. However, the organized use of barter as an alternative to the mainstream economy; THAT is something America has all but forgotten. One serious problem that I consistently seem to run into is the assumption that barter needs “backers”, meaning, many people believe the existing methodology of business must be the driver for barter to become “big” again. For decades, barter organizations of every shape and size have been so focused on pursuing a centralized corporate profit model that they forget the foundation of success in barter is the strength of the individual participants. This is why we have seen so many false starts and failures in localized commerce initiatives. It is the same reason why many existing barter groups remain in a sort of stasis, unable to grow, frustrating organizers and members alike. Liberty Dollar, for instance, was so centralized that a single federal raid was all that was needed to dismantle Bernard von NotHaus’ accomplishments and his years of effort. Read More

"Hope for the best, plan for the worst… but then live life to the fullest"

By David Galland, Casey Research
I just had a conversation with constitutional lawyer and monetary expert Dr. Edwin Vieira. I first became acquainted with Dr. Vieira, who holds four degrees from Harvard and has extensive experience arguing cases before the Supreme Court, at our recent Casey Research Summit in Boca Raton, where he spoke on how far off the constitutional rails the nation has traveled. Here is a summary of what he told me…
Dr. Vieira and I covered a lot of ground in our lengthy conversation, most of it related to the U.S. monetary system – its history, nature, and likely fate. But in between the details and analysis of how it is that the nation’s fiscal and monetary affairs have deteriorated to the current dismal state – and how the global sovereign debt crisis is likely to be resolved – a couple of deeply concerning truths emerged.
Concerning because, taken together, these truths have set the stage for a full-blown police state.

Fed Rescues Foreign Banks
Zero Hedge: The Fed’s $600 Billion Stealth Bailout of Foreign Banks Continues at the Expense of the Domestic Economy, or Explaining Where All the QE2 Money Went
June 12, 2011
By Scott Baker
Courtesy of the recently declassified Fed discount window documents, we now know that the biggest beneficiaries of the Fed’s generosity during the peak of the credit crisis were foreign banks, among which Belgium’s Dexia was the most troubled, and thus most lent to, bank. Having been thus exposed, many speculated that going forward the US central bank would primarily focus its “rescue” efforts on US banks, not US-based (or local branches) of foreign (read European) banks: after all that’s what the ECB is for, while the Fed’s role is to stimulate US employment and to keep US inflation modest. And furthermore, should the ECB need to bail out its banks, it could simply do what the Fed does, and monetize debt, thus boosting its assets, while concurrently expanding its excess reserves thus generating fungible capital which would go to European banks. Wrong. Below we present that not only has the Fed’s bailout of foreign banks not terminated with the drop in discount window borrowings or the unwind of the Primary Dealer Credit Facility, but that the only beneficiary of the reserves generated were US-based branches of foreign banks (which in turn turned around and funnelled the cash back to their domestic branches), a shocking finding which explains not only why US banks have been unwilling and, far more importantly, unable to lend out these reserves, but that anyone retaining hopes that with the end of QE2 the reserves that hypothetically had been accumulated at US banks would be flipped to purchase Treasurys, has been dead wrong, therefore making the case for QE3 a done deal. In summary, instead of doing everything in its power to stimulate reserve, and thus cash, accumulation at domestic (US) banks which would in turn encourage lending to US borrowers, the Fed has been conducting yet another stealthy foreign bank rescue operation, which rerouted $600 billion in capital from potential borrowers to insolvent foreign financial institutions in the past 7 months. QE2 was nothing more (or less) than another European bank rescue operation!
For those who can’t wait for the punchline, here it is. Below we chart the total cash holdings of Foreign-related banks in the US usingweekly H.8 data. Read More

Top Post-Collapse Barter Items And Trade Skills

The concept of private barter and alternative economies has been so far removed from our daily existence here in America that the very idea of participating in commerce without the use of dollars or without the inclusion of corporate chains seems almost outlandish to many people. However, the fact remains that up until very recently (perhaps the last three to four decades) barter and independent trade was commonplace in this country. Without it, many families could not have survived.
Whether we like it or not, such economic methods will be making a return very soon, especially in the face of a plunging dollar, inflating wholesale prices, erratic investment markets, and unsustainable national debts. It is inevitable; financial collapse of the mainstream system ALWAYS leads to secondary markets and individual barter. We can wait until we are already in the midst of collapse and weighted with desperation before we take action to better our circumstances, or, we can prepare now for what we already know is coming.

Facebook Is Now Using Facial Recognition Technology – Have You Checked Your Privacy Settings Lately?

The American Dream
The days when you could be "anonymous" on the Internet are long gone. Social media networks like Facebook are a lot of fun, but you should expect to have absolutely zero privacy while using them. If you still believe that anything you say or do on Facebook is private than you are being delusional. Now, Facebook has even enabled facial recognition technology across its entire site. Facebook can now instantly identify your face out of its half a billion users worldwide. Facebook is using this technology for its new "Tag Suggestions" feature. The idea is that facial recognition technology will speed up the process of tagging friends and family in photos that have been posted on Facebook. Read More

American independent Bill O’Reilly laid into Barack Obama last night for his stubborn determination to continue down a path of excessive spending and oppressive regulations. This was a brutal but honest critique of Obama’s failed economic policies.

Dalai Lama to Chinese Students: ‘I’m a Marxist’
June 10, 2011
The Blaze
In speaking to a group of students in Minnesota last week, the Dalai Lama cleared up any uncertainty regarding his political views. “…As far as socio-political beliefs are concerned, I consider myself a Marxist,” he told the audience.
According to Religion Dispatches, one student questioned this statement, asking if this view of the world contradict the Dalai Lama’s philosophy:
The Tibetan leader answered that the Marx was not against religion or religious philosophy per se but against religious institutions that were allied, during Marx’s time, with the European ruling class.
Interestingly, the Chinese government as it currently stands is dominated partially by Karl Marx’s theoretical constructs. This isn’t the first time the Dalai Lama has professed his belief in Marxism. Below, watch a video of the spiritual leader discuss a variety of issues pertaining to China, his political views, and the like:

And senior political official Ichiro Ozawa suggested in an interview with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) that the Fukushima situation could make the entire country of Japan "unlivable." Read More
