Allen West: I’m sick and tired of everyone trying to castigate the Tea Party!

Global Trigger Points For An Avalanche

In my view Brandon Smith aka Giordano Bruno has remarkable insight, critical thinking, and writing ability.

"Is the mainstream finally catching up to the alternative media? No. The MSM is merely adopting pieces of our common language and twisting them to fit a more globalist friendly viewpoint."

The phrase “Black Swan” is really making the rounds these last few months. Uttering the term a year ago would have earned you a collection of confused looks and a general attitude of disinterest. Now, people behave as if they had learned about economic shockwave events and the global domino effect when they were in kindergarten. The problem is that when this kind of terminology hits the mainstream, in most cases it comes prepackaged with dumbed down and diluted definitions which promote an inadequate, cartoonish understanding of the circumstances.

To be sure, most Americans are well aware that the world’s political and economic foundations are about as stable as fresh pudding under a heat lamp. The problem is that they are now being conditioned by the mainstream media to view the idea of collapse as “cinematic”; a kind of live action fantasy in which we all get to play the part of the audience, watching safely from the dark in our cushy theater seats with a bag of overpriced popcorn, Dolby surround sound, and a hot date to keep us company during the boring parts. Three years ago, even mentioning the idea of a breakdown in society or a financial catastrophe beyond a minor recession earned you the label of “doom monger”; a rather inept and naïve attempt on the part of the MSM to silence any economic analysis that stepped outside the establishment Keynesian framework. Today, I turn around to look at a magazine stand at the airport and right in front of me is Newsweek openly declaring “Apocalypse Now”!  Read More

Comptroller of the Currency Orders National Banks to Cover Up Foreclosure Scandal

"Acting OCC head John Walsh is standing in the way of information that could help desperate homeowners"

April 1, 2011

By Matt Stoller
03/31/2011

I was rereading some testimony by Mark Kaufman, the Maryland Commissioner of Financial Regulation, on mortgage servicer behavior. He testified this month before the House Oversight Committee on something quite scandalous.

Together with banking commissioners in four other states, our Office of Financial Regulation joined twelve state Attorneys General in the State Foreclosure Prevention Working Group launched under the leadership of Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller in 2007. This group sought to work collaboratively with the mortgage servicing industry and other parties to identify solutions to the myriad of problems we were seeing in addressing the crisis. The group gathered data submitted voluntarily from the largest subprime servicers and published five reports during 2008 to 2010 providing analysis on foreclosure issues and the servicing response. Unfortunately, this data and the related dialogue fell short of its potential as the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency forbade national banks from providing loss mitigation data to the states.

Subprime servicers were willing to hand over data. But national banks were ordered not to provide data on loss mitigation to investigators. It gets worse. Kaufman notes that in Maryland, loan modifications often led to homeowners paying a higher monthly amount after getting their loan modified. When a homeowner asked for help, they got a higher bill. In essence, this is the financial equivalent of having the fire department try to put out a blazing inferno with gasoline.  Read More

Statement on Libya – Defining U.S. National Security Interests, Before the Foreign Affairs Committee, US House of Representatives, 31 March 2011

April 1, 2011
By Ron Paul

The American people have once again been suckered into an unconstitutional, undeclared, illegal, and unwise war. This is not a war in response to an attack on the United States. This is not a war against a regime that has threatened the United States. This is a preventative war. The president never claimed that any large-scale slaughter of civilians was taking place in Libya. Rather, the president has spent close to a billion dollars – so far – bombing a country because its government might at some point harm its civilians.

The president consulted NATO, the United Nations, and the Arab League for permission and authorization to use US military force against Libya. He ignored the one body that has the legal authority to grant that permission, the US Congress.

While we have not seen credible proof – nor has it been claimed – that the Gaddafi regime has engaged in any large-scale slaughter of Libyan civilians, we see increasing reports of civilians who have been killed in airstrikes by the forces that are supposed to protect them! It seems we may be causing the very problem our intervention was supposed to prevent.

After days of the administration’s public speculation about whether or not to arm the Libyan rebels, we hear from the media that the president already instructed the CIA to arm and assist the rebels several weeks ago. So we have gone from the phony pretext of stopping a massacre of civilians to engaging the US military and covert operatives directly to fight on one side of a civil war.

Who are the rebels we are fighting for in Libya? We don’t fully know. Press reports suggest that there are some 1,000 jihadists fighting on their behalf. Are we arming al Qaeda in Libya? It certainly appears possible.

This is not really a new war. It is in fact a continuation of the neoconservatives’ 22-year war to remake the Middle East. Unfortunately the president has ignored the US constitution and decided instead to continue this misguided policy. This is a deeply flawed foreign policy that will only lead to escalation, blowback, and unintended consequences. Ultimately it is leading us to financial catastrophe. We must abandon the fantasy that we can police the world before it’s too late. Congress must stand up and say “no” to this illegal war.

Why Obama Should Be Thrown Out In 2012

"Pray for our country and pray God will bring the right person to stand against him."

April 1, 2011
Dr. Laurie Roth

Let’s cut to the bottom line shall we? We have a man in the White House who revealed who he was and what he would do long before he was elected President. He had already demonstrated that he was a radical, leftist and what his change for America would be if we gave him power. The U.S. gave him power, now we are reaping the consequences and must have a bold and clear plan to get him out of office before he completely destroys our country.

Let’s look at what has inspired Obama and his socialist/communist behavior. Read his own books and that will tell you plenty about his own racism and belief in Colonial imperialism. In his book, Dreams from My Father, which most believe was penned by William Ayers and not Obama, he talks of his alleged Father an ‘anti-colonial’ activist, also named Barack Hussein Obama. He believed in classic redistribution of wealth. His idea was that any wealthy country could have only obtained their wealth by stealing from poor people so that justified taking their wealth by any means necessary and redistributing it. That is the clear philosophy of Father and son.  Read More

Organic groups, farmers file preemptive lawsuit against Monsanto

"If given free reign over agriculture, Monsanto and its "Frankenseeds" will eventually take over the whole of agriculture -- and this is a fact."

April 1, 2011
By Ethan A. Huff

(NaturalNews) In order to avoid completely losing their businesses and livelihoods to the predatory business model of Monsanto, 60 family farmers, seed businesses and organic agricultural organizations have collectively filed a preemptive lawsuit against the multinational biotechnology giant. Filed by the Public Patent Foundation (PUBPAT) on behalf of the plaintiffs, the suit seeks judicial protection against the inevitable lawsuits Monsanto will file against non-GM and organic farmers when its genetically-modified (GM) seeds and other materials contaminate their fields.

In the past, Monsanto has successfully sued farmers in both the US and Canada for allegedly violating patent protections. But the truth is that Monsanto's seeds or other genetic materials have inadvertently trespassed on nearby crop fields, for which any rational person can see makes Monsanto the violator. But Monsanto has someone been able to twist this before the courts to claim that the owners of the contaminated fields were guilty of patent infringement -- and shockingly, Monsanto has actually won numerous cases on this illegitimate platform (http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.ph...).  Read More

The unfolding of the Fukushima catastrophe

"A 100-year battle awaits Fukushima while suicide workers are needed to keep up the rescue efforts"

April 1, 2011
By Mike Adams

(NaturalNews) The unfolding of the Fukushima catastrophe continues to worsen. Here are today's most important developments:

A nuclear expert is now warning that it will take 50 to 100 years before the spent nuclear rods at Fukushima will cool enough to be removed from the site. In the mean time, Japan must keep pouring water on the fuel, and that creates highly radioactive water that's being flushed directly into the ocean. So now we're looking at the possibility of a century-long radiation leak (http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/...).

The groundwater underneath the Fukushima nuclear power facility is now showing 10,000 times the level of radiation normally allowed by government authorities. This is from iodine-131 measured at 15 meters below one of the reactors. (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011...)

You've probably already heard that there have been efforts to use robots to help solve the Fukushima crisis, but those efforts have failed. Then again, who needs robots when you can just pay humans to do the same deadly work? Reuters is now reporting that a U.S. recruiting company is signing up U.S. workers to go to Fukushima and work on-site there as part of the crew that's trying to save the reactors (http://ca.news.yahoo.com/exclusive-...). Why would anyone agree to do such a thing? Because they're being promised extra pay, if you can believe that.  Read More

AZ Sheriff Claims Feds Demanding Border Agents Reduce Illegal Alien Arrests

"Dever is set to testify next month in front of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and said he will tell his story under oath."

April 1, 2011
By Jonathon M. Seidl

A sheriff in Arizona says he has information that Border Patrol officials have repeatedly been told to reduce — sometimes stop — their arrests of illegal aliens at the U.S./Mexico border.

According to Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever, Border Patrol officials have told him that the government is pressuring them to “scare people” instead of arrest them.

“The senior supervisor agent is telling me about how their mission is now to scare people back,” Dever said in an interview with FoxNews.com. “He said, ‘I had to go back to my guys and tell them not to catch anybody, that their job is to chase people away. … They were not to catch anyone, arrest anyone. Their job was to set up posture, to intimidate people, to get them to go back.”  Read More

We've Become a Nation of Takers, Not Makers

"More Americans work for the government than in manufacturing, farming, fishing, forestry, mining and utilities combined."

April 1, 2011
By Stephen Moore

If you want to understand better why so many states—from New York to Wisconsin to California—are teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, consider this depressing statistic: Today in America there are nearly twice as many people working for the government (22.5 million) than in all of manufacturing (11.5 million). This is an almost exact reversal of the situation in 1960, when there were 15 million workers in manufacturing and 8.7 million collecting a paycheck from the government.

It gets worse. More Americans work for the government than work in construction, farming, fishing, forestry, manufacturing, mining and utilities combined. We have moved decisively from a nation of makers to a nation of takers. Nearly half of the $2.2 trillion cost of state and local governments is the $1 trillion-a-year tab for pay and benefits of state and local employees. Is it any wonder that so many states and cities cannot pay their bills?

Every state in America today except for two—Indiana and Wisconsin—has more government workers on the payroll than people manufacturing industrial goods. Consider California, which has the highest budget deficit in the history of the states. The not-so Golden State now has an incredible 2.4 million government employees—twice as many as people at work in manufacturing. New Jersey has just under two-and-a-half as many government employees as manufacturers. Florida's ratio is more than 3 to 1. So is New York's.

The New Colonialism: Washington’s Pursuit of World Hegemony

"The al-Qaeda threat, a hoax as likely as not, has become Washington’s best excuse for intervening in the domestic affairs of other countries and for subverting American civil liberties."

April 1, 2011
Paul Craig Roberts

What we are observing in Libya is the rebirth of colonialism. Only this time it is not individual European governments competing for empires and resources. The new colonialism operates under the cover of “the world community,” which means NATO and those countries that cooperate with it. NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, was once a defense alliance against a possible Soviet invasion of Western Europe. Today NATO provides European troops in behalf of American hegemony.

Washington pursues world hegemony under the guises of selective “humanitarian intervention” and “bringing freedom and democracy to oppressed peoples.” On an opportunistic basis, Washington targets countries for intervention that are not its “international partners.” Caught off guard, perhaps, by popular revolts in Tunisia and Egypt, there are some indications that Washington responded opportunistically and encouraged the uprising in Libya. Khalifa Hifter, a suspected Libyan CIA asset for the last 20 years, has gone back to Libya to head the rebel army.

Gaddafi got himself targeted by standing up to Western imperialism. He refused to be part of the US Africa Command. Gaddafi saw Washington’s scheme for what it is, a colonialist’s plan to divide and conquer.

Mr. Boehner: Shut Her Down!

"My message to them is shut the sucker down! You will not get blamed. There will be no blame. There will be credit. When we all see that no one gets vaporized when the government "shuts down," there will be a fresh wind of a national teachable moment out there for all to see."

March 31, 2011
By C. Edmund Wright

When John Boehner teared up like a schoolgirl last November on election night, it became clear to most of the folks who had cast votes that ultimately propelled him to the top of his profession that the Speaker in waiting had no clue as to what had just happened to propel him to that office.

There were reasons for tears of joy, but the House career ladder was not one of them. For some mystifying reason, the man from Ohio thought his storybook rise to power was the point.

Uh John, it was not. Let me help you out.

The point was that there is way too much power -- and way too much of our yet to be earned money -- concentrated around folks in Boehner's profession. The point is that we want to reduce, not celebrate, that power. And yet, the election's final score was not even determined when we got our first sobering reminder that Boehner had no idea what had just happened. (Not that this shocked us frankly.)

He was celebrating what Washington had just done for John Boehner -- while we were steamed about what Washington has done to all of us.

So just what perverted John Boehner, the tough-minded business owner who was first elected to Congress in the early 90's? That's the Boehner we need now, not the one whose tear ducts and skin pigment have been put on high alert after nearly two decades of power and privilege in D.C.

Alas, we can only assume that business ownership and other realities of life outside government are but a distant memory for Boehner. Let me clue Mr. Boehner in: running a business now is infinitely harder than it was when he last tried it. In fact, doing almost anything is harder now. And Washington is the reason. Clearly, the Ohioan has lost touch with that reality.  Read More

It’s Time We Stop Pretending

"The question is this: Can Americans wake up, acknowledge government is not the solution but rather the problem, and throw out the swindlers?"

March 31, 2011

Robert L. Hale
3/30/2011

Most of us are familiar with the Brothers Grimm fairy tale about the King’s Magical New Suit. The story goes like this: “Your Majesty,” said the swindler tailors, “This is a magic suit.” The truth was that there was no suit at all. But the clever swindlers said, “Your Majesty, to a wise man this is a beautiful raiment, but to a fool it is absolutely invisible.”

Naturally, the King did not want to appear a fool, and so he bought the swindle — hook, line, and sinker. Yet he was indeed a fool. While standing there naked, he allowed himself to be convinced he had been given a beautiful suit that only existed in his imagination.

America’s voters have fallen for the same swindle that Grimm’s tailors sold the king in this famous fairy tale. America’s politicians are swindling tailors. But what is happening to America is no fairy tale.  Read More

I Want An American President

To quote Coach Dave Daubenmire's... "My allegiance isn’t to the “world”, or to the environment, or to the government. I cling to my God and my guns, my wife and my kids, my family and my friends. I love America, apple pie, and Chevrolet."

I feel and think exactly as he does!

"You know "shady" when you see it. Barack Obama, and his wife, are shady. In fact, there is a dark cloud hanging all over this regime."

March 31, 2011
By Coach Dave Daubenmire

I know what you are thinking. Coach Dave is finally coming out of the closet as a “Birther.” He has joined that ‘”fringe element” in America that doesn’t think that Barack Obama is an United States citizen.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I have been part of that group for quite awhile. I question where the president was born. What is wrong with that? “Trust but verify” a wise man once proclaimed. I think Obama would be wise to come clean on a lot of things.

He is a “shady” character. That is what my mother would have called him 30 years ago when folks were permitted to make judgment calls about people without being called names. Today there are groups of people that you are not able to criticize, at least not unless you are willing to face an onslaught of accusations designed to destroy your character.

Most folks don’t want to have to go through it, so they just learn to keep their opinions to themselves. As a result, this call for “civility” has created a culture where the “shady” ones are able to get away with treason.

Obama Promises El Salvador New Amnesty for Illegal Aliens

"Obama’s “broad comprehensive approach” is to open the borders wide, let the illegals pour in and then give them tons of our tax dollars and hope they’ll be good citizens"

March 31, 2011

Jerry McConnell
3/30/2011

Well, he’s still at it; giving our country away just as if he were born to it and all of its wealth and assets are his to give away at his pleasure. I once likened him in a column to a drunken sailor, for which I was seriously chastized by a former drunken (?) sailor who was offended to have me compare him to the usurper charlatan in our White House.

So now instead of comparing Obama as I did before, I will just state flatly that he is on a mission to break our financial backs with his probably illegal insistence on promising whatever he chooses to any one or body of people that he alone decides is worthy of receiving the redistribution of our tax dollars. Keep in mind, I said “promising” funds that he calls “crime-fighting money.”

At least on the amnesty part he did say that he “vowed” to push the U. S. Congress to pass an immigration bill to aid El Salvador according to the Washington Times Kara Rowland on March 22, 2011 from San Salvador, El Salvador.

But where is it written in our Constitution or any of our laws that he has the authority to do that? I have never seen it anywhere but I would be happy to know if it is in writing somewhere.  Read More

Fukushima Meltdown Update

March 31, 2011
By Mike Adams

"Fukushima meltdown update: Cesium in the soil, ocean waters contaminated and fuel core meltdown now under way"

(NaturalNews) Here are the latest developments on the Fukushima catastrophe, including quotes from a well-known physicist who is now raising the alarm over "three raging meltdowns" at the Fukushima complex.

• As the Wall Street Journal reports (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100...), the U.S. government has now admitted that radiation is being found in milk from Washington state. They say it's "safe" to drink, of course. That's the U.S. government for you: Irradiated milk is safe, but raw milk is dangerous!

• The battle to save Fukushima is now over, as Japanese officials admit the nuclear power complex must now be abandoned and entombed (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...). The Dailymail published, "officials said it would mean switching off all power and abandoning attempts to keep the nuclear fuel rods cool." The problem with that, of course, is that there are already "three raging meltdowns" under way as Dr. Kaku explains (below). If you abandon efforts to cool the fuel rods, then an accelerated meltdown is "inevitable," says Dr. Kaku.  Read More
