There Are No Good Outcomes
"The Federal Reserve and crooked politicians only care about their comrades in the top 1% elitist society, for whom oil is an investment, not an expense."
Zero Hedge
March 5, 2011
By Tyler Durden
The political class and their mouthpieces in the corporate controlled mainstream media are desperately trying to spin the oil price surge as a temporary inconvenience that will not derail their phony recovery story. Brent crude closed at $116 per barrel yesterday. West Texas crude closed at $104 per barrel. Unleaded gas has risen by 22% in the last month and 60% since September 1, 2010. I’m sure this slight increase hasn’t impacted Ben Bernanke or Lloyd Blankfein. Their limo drivers just charge it to their unlimited expense accounts. Joe Sixpack, driving his 15 mpg Dodge RAM pickup, is now forking over an extra $1,200 per year in gas expenditures, not to mention more for everything impacted by oil such as food, utilities, and anything transported to their local Wal-Mart by truck (everything). Luckily, the Federal Reserve and crooked politicians only care about their comrades in the top 1% elitist society, for whom oil is an investment, not an expense. Read More

The Free Market Death Panel
Who is the TMPG, and why should I care???
Zero Hedge
March 4, 2011
By Tyler Durden
The Treasury Market Practices Group (TMPG) is made up of various market participants (representing custodial banks, investment “banks”, hedge funds, etc.. ) and attended by Brian Sack and six other representatives of the Federal Bank of New York. This group is nothing more than the financial equivalent of a free market death panel. (Is this sensationalism? Maybe? Maybe not? …but no less than the GOP’s spin-“doctoring” of socialized healthcare!) First I will give the background of what the TMPG does. Next I will take you on a journey of how they are actively/inactively working on policing (or “policy-ing”) the financial system. (This journey will involve my real life interactions with their members and the results of their action/inaction.) Finally, I will flesh out what this means to you. Read More

Utah Considers Return To Gold And Silver
Alt-Market
March 5, 2011
By Brandon Smith
"Many states have legislation like this in the works, but I think that without ample trade networking and organizing taking place, lawmakers will not put it on the fast track. The States have to see that gold and silver trade is taking off with or without them. If they don't get in on the action, they will be left in the dust. If a legislator introduces a sound money bill to your state, get your friends, family, and barter network to call and write non-stop. Let your state know sound money needs to be taken seriously before it is too late...."
Utah Considers Return to Gold, Silver Coins
Its been nearly 80 years since the U.S. stopped using gold coins as legal currency, and nearly 40 since the world abandoned the gold standard, but the precious metal could be making a comeback in the United States -- beginning in Utah.
The Utah House was to vote as early as Thursday on legislation that would recognize gold and silver coins issued by the federal government as legal currency in the state. The coins would not replace the current paper currency but would be used and accepted voluntarily as an alternative.
The legislation, which has 12 co-sponsors, would let Utahans pay their taxes with gold and also calls for a committee to study alternative currencies for the state. It would also exempt the sale of gold from the state capital gains tax....

Mark says that since unemployment fell .1%, it’s time to celebrate! Don’t worry that it’s statistically insignificant, what really matters is that Obama with all of his pro-growth policies has driven unemployment below 9%. That’s a feat that every President should want on their resume!

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION ADMITS TO FRAUD- Sebelius Tells Committee Dems Double-Counted $500 BILLION DOLLARS in Obamacare
March 4, 2011
By Jim Hoft
THE BIGGEST NEWS OF THE DAY—-
Not only did the Obama Administration add another $100 billion to the cost of Obamacare one month after the bill was rammed through Congress but today the Obama Administration admitted to fraud. The White House and Democrats double-counted $500 billion in Obamacare in order to make it look like the bill was going to save the American taxpayers some cash.
Last year Democrats said they were going to cover 30 million more people (Americans and others) with health insurance and they claimed it was going to save money. We knew they were lying then. This week they admitted they were lying.
Democrats told America “We’re just giddy” about saving money with Obamacare before they rammed it home.
It was a lie.

People Of Earth: Prepare For Economic Disaster
The Economic Collaspe
March 3, 2011
It is not just the United States that is headed for an economic collapse. The truth is that the entire world is heading for a massive economic meltdown and the people of earth need to be warned about the coming economic disaster that is going to sweep the globe. The current world financial system is based on debt, and there are alarming signs that the gigantic global debt bubble is getting ready to burst. In addition, global prices for the key resources that the major economies of the planet depend on are rising very rapidly. Despite all of our advanced technology, the truth is that human civilization simply cannot function without oil and food. But now the price of oil and the price of food are both increasing dramatically. So how is the current global economy supposed to keep functioning properly if it soon costs much more to ship products between continents? How are the billions of people that are just barely surviving today supposed to feed themselves if the price of food goes up another 30 or 40 percent? For decades, most of the major economies around the globe have been able to take for granted that massive amounts of cheap oil and massive amounts of cheap food will always be there. So what happens when that paradigm changes? Read More
FAO warns on oil as world food prices hit record
"Most of the world was already in the midst of currency devaluation and inflation before the crisis in the Middle East took shape, however, the spike in crude above $100 a barrel will make the situation much more visible in the next few months. Watch your store shelf prices carefully, and if you haven't started stocking foods and garden seeds, you had better begin now..."

Global food prices hit a record high in February, the United Nations said Thursday, warning that further oil price spikes and stockpiling by importers keen to head off unrest would hit already volatile cereal markets.
Rising food prices are a growing global concern, partly fuelling the protests which toppled the rulers of Tunisia and Egypt in January and February, which in turn unleashed unrest in North Africa and the Middle East from Algeria to Yemen.
The U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization's Food Price Index hit its second straight record last month, driven by rising grain costs and tighter supply to further pass peaks seen in 2008 when prices sparked riots in several countries.... Read More

The Only Way Out for the American Economy
The United States is sitting on the world's largest untapped oil reserve.
March 04, 2011
By Steve McCann
Economic despair reigns in America, as stagnation and mounting debt make our future look hopeless. Yet America is uniquely positioned to rebound and recover our economic preeminence. All that is necessary is a political decision to reverse our energy policy and stimulate domestic production of hydrocarbons. From that would flow a true economic stimulus that would mend many of our ills.
The United States is again, for the second time in less than three years, being reminded of its absurd dependence of foreign sources of energy, most notably, oil. The upheavals in the Middle East have driven up the cost of a barrel of oil into triple digits as it was in 2008. The increasing demands of countries such as China and India and the deliberate devaluation of the dollar by the Federal Reserve and the Obama administration are steadily pushing up oil prices in dollars.
The country's dependence of foreign sources has increased to 52% of the daily requirement as compared to 45% just 15 years ago. Over half of that amount comes from countries that are inherently unstable or ruled by despotic regimes whose interest it is to de-stabilize the United States.

Yes, You Can Survive The Coming Economic Nightmare – One Family In California Grows 6,000 Pounds Of Produce On Just 1/10th Of An Acre
End of the American Dream
March 3, 2011
If you work hard and get prepared, you can survive the economic nightmare that is coming. All over the United States and around the world there are millions of people that are learning how to become more self-sufficient. For example, there is one family that is actually producing 6000 pounds of produce on just 1/10th of an acre right in the middle of Pasadena, California. In fact, they grow so much food that they are able to sell much of it to restaurants in the area. Video of this incredible "urban homestead" is posted below. The key is to start with what you have. The family in the video below would like to have a large acreage, but for now they have turned what they do have into an absolute miracle. Yes, a horrific economic nightmare is coming to this country, but you don't have to be afraid. One of the main reasons why so many of us are trying to warn people about what is coming is so that they will wake up and take massive action to become self-sufficient like the people in the video below have. Obama at the Abyss
The Arab regimes from North Africa to the Gulf are in a death spiral
March 03, 2011
By James Lewis
It's crunch time in Washington, D.C. President Obama must know that a dozen Republicans are saving those boastful videotapes of Mr. O pushing President Mubarak out of power, followed by an endless series of breakdowns throughout the Arabic world.
Just think about that as a 30 second commercial next election year:
Obama: "Mubarak must resign. Now means Now!"
Map of the Middle East with fires exploding in a series from Tunisia to Bahrain, to the sound of breaking glassware. Over and over again.
Those chandeliers will still be falling from the ceilings in the next election campaign, because the instability in the Arab world is not going to be settled quickly. Obama will be seen as another Jimmy Carter, and like Carter, his first challenge will come from inside the Democratic Party.
It was Ted Kennedy who challenged Carter in the Democratic primaries after the Iranian fiasco. Kennedy weakened Carter, and Reagan got elected as a result. Democrats who lived through that disaster for the left haven't forgotten it, and Obama is now looking into the same abyss. His biggest challenge is likely to come from Hillary and Bill, who are aching for revenge.
But Hillary is also implicated in the fiasco in the Middle East, where Obama deliberately told Mubarak to leave, after raising expectations throughout the Muslim world that he couldn't possibly satisfy. The voters can also be reminded of HillaryCare, as ObamaCare runs into the longest economic recession in history.

Wisconsin: Creating even more hate between the left and the right
Divide And Conquer: The Union Protests In Wisconsin And Ohio Are Increasing The Hate Between The Left And The Right
End of the American Dream
March 3, 2011
What is the perfect way to get the eyes of the American people off of the real economic problems that this country is facing? Get them fighting with each other of course. And what is one issue that is sure to get the left and the right screaming at each other like cats and dogs? Unions. The battle over collective bargaining rights in Wisconsin has been making headlines around the world for weeks and there are no signs that it is going to end any time soon. In fact, Mordecai Lee, a political scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, says that it is "a battle to the death". The Democrats that have gone AWOL appear to be absolutely determined to stay away. The protesters seem equally determined to keep on fighting. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker does not look like he plans to back down either. Meanwhile, both sides are calling each other the most horrible names. "Hitler", "Stalin", "Nazi" and "fascist" are just a few of the terms that are being thrown around by both sides. What has been going on in Wisconsin has captured the imagination of the entire nation and it is creating even more hate between the left and the right in this country. Unfortunately, as the economic pie in this nation continues to shrink, economic battles such as the one in Wisconsin are going to become quite common. Read More

The Alternative Market Project Has Been Launched!
Anyone Can Barter: The strength of bartering lay in its simplicity. Anyone can trade with anyone else, at any time, for any reason. There is absolutely no need for a middle-man to regulate a barter transaction. Period.

Why choose to participate in a system that doesn’t work? A system that is designed to drain the people of wealth instead of enriching them and their lives? A system that is constructed upon irrational principles, faulty laws, and unstable values? A system on the verge of collapse?
This is the question that the Alternative Market Movement (AMM) poses to the American citizen. Why continue living under an economic structure that is poised to erupt, threatening you, your family, and your ability to provide a meaningful future for them? Would anyone voluntarily choose to live under the barrel of a gun their entire lives?
The only plausible answer is that most people participate in our current destructive financial system because they feel there are no other options. AMM plans to change this by offering a new choice, one which presents a solid foundation, an honest and legitimate sense of community, self sufficiency, and sound trade backed by tangible commodities instead of unsustainable debts. We will work to help each and every individual achieve greater independence and to connect with other like-minded participants in a newer, liberty based market. This market will be facilitated and administrated by communities themselves, away from bureaucracy, corporate influence, and overt regulation. It will serve the interests of the average man and woman, and not the interests of globalism and elitist hierarchy.
We believe wholeheartedly in the framework of Constitutional Law, and that no government or supranational entity has the right to overstep Constitutional boundaries for any reason, regardless of supposed intentions or mandates. We do not recognize the self proclaimed authority of corporately created and managed entities such as the Federal Reserve, the IMF, or the World Bank. We are fully opposed to the practice of fractional reserve banking, fiat currency, central banking, and other fraudulent financial Ponzi schemes. We stand against the forced centralization of countries and cultures and the erasure of national sovereignty. We believe that the first step in defending against such economic and political manipulation is to create an alternative system that safeguards the values of free markets and free peoples. We are a natural extension of the Liberty Movement which is already making great headway in American society today.
Our goal is not to centralize authority in this movement, but to encourage individual awareness, and individual action. We hope to provide the knowledge and tools necessary to make it possible for anyone, from the average working American, to the successful private business owner, to become their own leader, taking actions in their own neighborhoods and towns with the purpose of forming viable trade networks, eventually decoupling and shielding themselves from the diseased economy currently in place.
The root ideology of our mission could be expressed as follows:
Provide for yourself and others those human necessities which the corrupt establishment cannot or will not.
Through this, you make the damaging system unneeded and obsolete. Eventually, the establishment will have to come after you, openly exposing its tyrannical nature, or it will have to conform to you. In either case, you benefit.
To help Americans forward with this strategy of self determinism and economic independence, we are launching the Alt-Market website. We hope it will become a useful medium for the expansion of trade networks as well as a source of in-depth knowledge on numerous practical skills which are valued in a poor economic environment. Ultimately, we plan to move our efforts away from the internet and into cities across the country, where we will hold workshops and conventions designed to give people hands on training, as well as a forum to meet other like-minded free market proponents face to face.
Visit us at Alt-Market, and set a higher economic standard for yourself, your town, your state, and your country. It all begins when our participation in rigged establishment system ends…

Eric Holder’s Admission? DoJ “Does Not Enforce the Law on the Basis of Race”
March 1, 2011
By Ben Johnson
Attorney General Eric Holder had something of a meltdown on Capitol Hill today when a Republican Congressman pressed him on his preferential treatment of the New Black Panther Party. Rep. John Culberson, R-TX, read a statement from a Democrat calling the Black Panthers’ actions the worst case of voter intimidation he had ever seen. In response, Holder huffed that, while the Panther’s nightstick-wielding threats were “inappropriate,” the assessment was demeaning to “my people.”
Perhaps more important than his admission that he does not see the American people as “his people” is a line he uttered shortly afterwards.
After Culberson cited “overwhelming evidence that your Department of Justice refuses to protect the rights of anybody other than African-Americans to vote,” Holder stated, “This Department of Justice does not enforce the law on the basis of race.”
Holder intended this as a denial, but it seems more like a Freudian admission.
After all, it is precisely what Holder’s Justice Department stands accused of, not enforcing the law on the basis of race. Read More
