Soros Wins Under Obama's Energy Policies

"Perhaps, he just wants to pay back George Soros, who was so instrumental in helping his election and the election of fellow Democrats across America. George Soros is the Patron Saint of the Democratic Party and was a very early and generous supporter of Barack Obama's. Soros even used a loophole in Federal campaign laws that allowed him and his family to give outsized donations to Barack Obama; he also fielded his army of so-called 527 groups (such as MoveOn.Org) to help Obama win the Oval Office."

Are Barack Obama's energy policies influenced by hedge fund billionaire and political patron, George Soros?

Abby Wisse Schacter, in the New York Post, notes that the Obama administration is clamping down on oil and gas development in America (both onshore and offshore) but is hell-bent on helping other nation's tap their resources and points out that such help is being showered specifically in New Guinea, of all places.

It is starting to look obvious that the administration doesn't want oil exploration and extraction at home while it is promoting the same exploration and extraction elsewhere -- specifically Brazil and New Guinea. "The Bureau of Ocean Management, Regulation, and Enforcement (BOEMRE) has assigned only six drilling engineers to process all permit applications pending in the Gulf of Mexico. While Michael Bromwich bemoans a lack of the staff necessary to speed up the process, he's sending his staffers to Papua New Guinea to advise its officials on ways to develop the country's offshore drilling infrastructure. A significant portion of the agency's budget is covered by fees, royalties, taxes, and rents from energy production, so curtailing drilling closes off cash flow too.  Read More

Where’s the Birth Certificate?

Here Come the Birther Commercials… New Ads to Run Questioning Obama’s Eligibility

March 27, 2011
By Jim Hoft

It looks like Donald Trump gave a bold new voice to the birther movement…
A series of television ads are now in production that question Barack Obama’s eligibility as President of the United States.

Two-time No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Jerome Corsi, a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard and a senior staff writer at WND, has written a new book that promises to be a game-changer on the issue of Barack Obama’s eligibility.

It’s called “Where’s the Birth Certificate? The Case that Barack Obama is Not Eligible to Be President.”

The result of more than two years of solid investigative research by Corsi and a team of WND reporters and editors, this book is destined to be a huge bestseller and change the dynamics of the debate over eligibility – IF, of course, the book is not spiked by the hostile establishment media when it is officially released in May.

Video: Bill Ayers Admits (Again) He Wrote Obama’s First Book

"Like many have suspected, but most in the mainstream media and certainly in the White House will deny of course.. Just more affirmation of the fraud that is our President."

March 27, 2011
By John Schulenburg

via American Thinker

Worse for Obama still, Ayers knows that the story he and Obama contrived in Dreams is false in many key details. The fact that Donald Trump has proved willing to challenge that story has got to make the White House even more apprehensive.

As was obvious in his speech at Montclair, Ayers does not like the application of force in Libya, and this may have been his own way of retaliating. Consider it a shot across Obama’s bow. The White House will.

Imagine the media onslaught upon discovering that a former unrepentant radical terrorist repeatedly admitted on video he wrote George Bush’s first book. We would never hear the end of it. Of course they play by different rules when it comes to Obama. This will get the usual “nothing to see here, move along” from the MSM.

Israel‘s ’Iron Dome’ Rocket Defense System Deploys Today

Millions of Israeli civilians are within rocket range.

March 27, 2011
By Scott Baker

JERUSALEM (AP) — A new defense system meant to protect southern Israel from Gaza militants’ rockets will go into operation on Sunday, the Israeli military said, after weeks of stepped-up rocket and mortar attacks that have drawn fears of renewed war. The Islamic Jihad militant group reported that two of its members were killed and another was wounded in an Israeli airstrike early Sunday on Gaza. The Israeli military had no immediate comment on the report.

Gaza militants, including Islamic Jihad and the territory’s Hamas rulers, had said over the weekend that they would cease fire if Israel did. A major problem with that pledge is the inability of the larger groups to control rogue militants from attacking. Israel has said it does not want the violence to escalate. Read More

Bin Laden sets alarm bells ringing

"While intelligence agencies might be involved in a guessing game about Bin Laden's plans and a possible grand al-Qaeda operation, his movements can be read in the perspective of recent discourse in al-Qaeda circles and a major shift in its policies."

March 26, 2011
By Syed Saleem Shahzad

ISLAMABAD - After a prolonged lull, the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has launched a series of covert operations in the rugged Hindu Kush mountains of Pakistan and Afghanistan following strong tip-offs that al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has been criss-crossing the area in the past few weeks for high-profile meetings in militant redoubts.

The US has been on Bin Laden's trail ever since he fled Afghanistan when the US invaded the country in 2001 to oust the Taliban, but the 54-year-old with a US$50 million reward on his head has always remained several steps in front.

Asia Times Online has learned that decision-makers have put a lot of weight on the information on Bin Laden's movements as it has come from multiple intelligence agencies, in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. For at least two years, little credible news has emerged of Bin Laden's movements and motives. Now, intelligence officials believe they have top-grade accounts as they come from the inner circles of militant camps.

Officials are said to be "stunned" by the visibility of Bin Laden's movements, and their frequency, in a matter of a few weeks in the outlawed terrain of Pakistan and Afghanistan, the most unprecedented reports about him since he evaded the US in the Tora Bora mountains in Afghanistan in 2001.  Read More

Obama Denies Knowledge of Controversial Fed Operation Smuggling Guns Into Mexico

Obama says he didn’t inform Mexico of U.S. gun smuggling operation because he didn’t know about it

March 26, 2011

Under fire for an operation that allowed smuggling of U.S. weapons across the nation’s border with Mexico, President Obama said in an interview that neither he nor Attorney General Eric Holder authorized the controversial “Operation Fast and Furious.”

The Mexican government has complained that it didn’t know about the U.S. operation that allowed guns to illegally cross the southwestern border so they could track the weapons.

Obama told Univision‘s Jorge Ramos that President Felipe Calderon wasn’t informed of the operation because he — the president of the United States — wasn’t informed either. When asked whether he knew of the weapon smuggling plan, Obama responded that it is “a pretty big government” with “a lot of moving parts.”

The investigation into the program comes after it was connected to two weapons that were found at the scene of a border shootout that killed U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in December. Likewise, a gun smuggled from the U.S. were used to kill Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agent Jamie Zapata, but it has not been determined if it was part of “Fast and Furious.”  Read More

Obama’s House of Cards is Collapsing!

"If He Wasn’t At Columbia, Then Where Was He? Evidence is mounting that his life is one of deceit, lies, and more lies."

We recently reviewed Obama’s multiple Social Security numbers that investigators uncovered in the article “Whose Identity Did Obama Steal?”. Additionally, they found that he used different social security numbers within a couple of years of each other. Investigators associated social security numbers with addresses where he lived across the United States, and where he didn’t live. His most flagrant use of a card is one that wasn’t issued to him and that he is using today. Orly Taitz has uncovered new information that adds even more evidence proving Obama’s family, history, and integrity are seriously fraudulent. Lies about family associations, friends, college, travels, and work are being exposed with rapidity. The cards in question include his social security card, selective service card, and even his student report card! Evidence is mounting that his life is one of deceit, lies, and more lies.

Recent revelations are highlighted in Orly Taitz’s First Amended Complaint that was just filed. Below are the explosive allegations that were added to her amended lawsuit as well as the evidence to back up her allegations. (The entire lawsuit is available here).

Now it appears Obama lied about his attendance at Columbia! He was only there for 9 months NOT 2 years that he has stated! Where did he go for that other year and what was he doing? Was he taking courses in person at Columbia or was he enrolled in an overseas program? If he traveled overseas what name did he use? How did he get the credits to attend Harvard with only 9 months attendance at Columbia? Was it a Freudian slip when Obama said he went to Pakistan or is that one of the only truthful statements to come out of his mouth? Below if verification of Obama’s limited attendance at Columbia. Perhaps there will be apologies made to Dr. Manning?  Read More

Wisconsin Collective Bargaining Bill Published; Will Go Into Effect Tomorrow

"It's Done"

The Gateway Pundit
March 25, 2011
By Jim Hoft

The controversial Republican collective bargaining bill was published today in Wisconsin. The administration will carry out the law as required starting tomorrow. The restraining order by radical Judge Sumi was issued against Democratic Secretary of State Doug La Follette, but the bill was published by the reference bureau who was not included in the temporary restraining order.

JSOnline reported:

A controversial bill limiting collective bargaining for public workers has been officially published despite a temporary restraining order barring its publication by one state official.

The legislation was published Friday with a footnote that acknowledges the restraining order, but says state law “requires the Legislative Reference Bureau to publish every act within 10 working days after its date of enactment.”

The restraining order was issued against Democratic Secretary of State Doug La Follette, but the bill was published by the reference bureau. The reference bureau was not included in the temporary restraining order.

Laws normally take effect a day after they are published, and Gov. Scott Walker’s administration is proceeding as if it takes effect Saturday.

“Today the administration was notified that the LRB published the budget-repair bill as required by law,” said a statement from Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch. “The administration will carry out the law as required.”

La Follette and the two top officials at the reference bureau – Chief Stephen Miller and Deputy Chief Cathlene Hanaman – could not be reached Friday. The Legislature is run by Republicans, but the reference bureau is a nonpartisan agency widely respected by both political parties.

John Jagler, a spokesman for Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald (R-Horicon), said he presumed the law would take effect Saturday. He said he did not know if the speaker spoke with the reference bureau about the matter before it was published.

The publication of the law came the same day a third court action was filed challenging Walker’s budget-repair law that sharply curtails union bargaining by public employees.

Will Financial Problems In Portugal Cause The European Debt Crisis To Spiral Out Of Control?

March 25, 2011
The Economic Collapse

Most Americans have no idea just how bad the financial problems over in Europe are right now. The truth is that the entire European financial system is teetering on the brink of disaster. Ireland and Greece have already received bailouts and Portugal, Spain, Italy, France and Belgium are all drowning in an ocean of unsustainable debt. Sovereign credit ratings all over Europe have being slashed in recent months. For example, a while back Moody’s Investors Service cut Ireland's bond rating by five levels. Up until now Europe has weathered all of this financial instability fairly well, but now huge new financial problems in Portugal threaten to send the European debt crisis spinning out of control.

The Prime Minister of Portugal, Jose Socrates, resigned on Wednesday after the major opposition parties banded together to vote down the austerity measures that he was requesting. The package of budget cuts and tax increases was intended to get Portugal's horrible debt crisis under control. Prior to the vote, the prime minister warned that he would no longer be able to run the country if the austerity package was not passed.  Read More

A Beautiful Mind? 12-Year-Old Boy Genius Sets Out to Disprove Big Bang

"Young Jacob‘s journey to genius hasn’t been a fairy tale. He didn’t speak until he was two, and he’s been diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome, a mild form of autism."

March 25, 2011
By Jonathon

At 12-years-old, Jacob Barnett is a genius. He’s already in college, his IQ is higher than Einstein’s, and for fun he‘s working on an expanded version of that man’s theory of relativity. So far, the signs are good. Professors are astounded. So what else does a boy genius with vast brilliance do in his free time? Disprove the big bang, of course. For a minute, just a minute, try and follow his logic. He explained his thinking recently to the Indianapolis Star:

“There are two different types of when stars end. When the little stars die, it’s just like a small poof. They just turn into a planetary nebula. But the big ones, above 1.4 solar masses, blow up in one giant explosion, a supernova,” Jake said. “What it does, is, in larger stars there is a larger mass, and it can fuse higher elements because it’s more dense.”

OK . . . trying to follow you.

“So you get all the elements, all the different materials, from those bigger stars. The little stars, they just make hydrogen and helium, and when they blow up, all the carbon that remains in them is just in the white dwarf; it never really comes off.

“So, um, in the big-bang theory, what they do is, there is this big explosion and there is all this temperature going off and the temperature decreases really rapidly because it’s really big. The other day I calculated, they have this period where they suppose the hydrogen and helium were created, and, um, I don’t care about the hydrogen and helium, but I thought, wouldn’t there have to be some sort of carbon?”  Read More

The Phony Arguments for Presidential War Powers

"The framers actually meant ...The president acting alone was authorized only to repel sudden attacks (hence the decision to withhold from him only the power to “declare” war, not to “make” war, which was thought to be a necessary emergency power in case of foreign attack)."

March 25, 2011
By Thomas E. Woods, Jr.

A U.S. president has attacked another country, so it’s time for the scam artists to pull out their fake constitutional arguments in support of our dear leader. Not all of them are doing so, to be sure – in fact, it’s been rather a hoot to hear supporters of the Iraq war suddenly caterwauling about the Constitution’s restraints on the power of the president to initiate hostilities abroad. But I’m told that radio host Mark Levin criticized Ron Paul on his program the other day on the precise grounds that the congressman didn’t know what he was talking about when it came to war powers and the Constitution.

That means it’s time to lay out all the common claims, both constitutional and historical, advanced on behalf of presidential war powers, and refute them one by one.  Read More

Gold And Silver Are Thriving While The U.S. Dollar Is Dying

"The world is simply starting to lose faith in the U.S. dollar."

The End of the American Dream
March 25, 2011

Have you heard the news? Gold hit another new record high on Thursday. It reached $1447.40 before settling back a bit. Most people responded to that news with a yawn. Why? Well, because it is happening so frequently these days. It seems like the price of gold is constantly setting a new record. Silver likewise is thriving. The price of an ounce of silver briefly hit $38.13 on Thursday. That was the highest price for silver in 31 years. But most people also responded to that news with a yawn. Why? Well, because the price of silver always seems to be going higher these days. Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar is struggling. The ICE Dollar Index fell to 75.340 earlier this week. That was the lowest it has been since December 2009. Even at a time when the sovereign debt crisis in Europe is flaring up again and there is tremendous instability all over the world the U.S. dollar still can't find much traction. In fact, many are convinced that the U.S. dollar is on the verge of another major fall. So what in the world is causing all of this?  Read More

Rebel Commander in Libya Fought Against U.S. in Afghanistan

"On his own admission, rebel leader Abdul-Hakim al-Hasadi fought American troops in Afghanistan and recruited Libyans to fight American troops in Iraq."

March 25, 2011
By John Rosenthal

Shortly after unrest broke out in eastern Libya in mid-February, reports emerged that an “Islamic Emirate” had been declared in the eastern Libyan town of Darnah and that, furthermore, the alleged head of that Emirate, Abdul-Hakim al-Hasadi, was a former detainee at the American prison camp in Guantánamo. The reports, which originated from Libyan government sources, were largely ignored or dismissed in the Western media.

Now, however, al-Hasadi has admitted in an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore that he fought against American forces in Afghanistan. (Hat-tip: Thomas Joscelyn at the Weekly Standard.) Al-Hasadi says that he is the person responsible for the defense of Darnah — not the town’s “Emir.” In a previous interview with Canada’s Globe and Mail, he claimed to have a force of about 1,000 men and to have commanded rebel units in battles around the town of Bin Jawad.  Read More

Japanese Authorities Admit Deadly MOX Plutonium Reactor Is Leaking

"Has cover-up of leakage been ongoing since massive March 14 explosion?"

March 25, 2011
Paul Joseph Watson

While the mass media has all but dropped its interest in the Fukushima crisis to focus on Libya and meaningless side-issues like the death of Elizabeth Taylor, the nuclear nightmare only worsens, as Japanese authorities admit that reactor number 3, which is the only reactor to contain MOX plutonium, is now leaking.

“Japan’s nuclear regulator said one reactor core at the quake-damaged Fukushima Dai-Ichi power plant may be cracked and leaking radiation,” reports Bloomberg.

“It’s very possible that there has been some kind of leak at the No. 3 reactor,” Hidehiko Nishiyama, a spokesman at the Japan Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said in Tokyo today. While radioactive water at the unit most likely escaped from the reactor core, it also could have originated from spent fuel pools stored atop the reactor, he said.”

The water now leaking from reactor number 3 has radiation levels 10,000 times above the level of normal reactor water. Yesterday, two Fukushima technicians received instant radioactive burns when they stepped in the puddle of water, as it burned right through their boots.  Read More
