The Obama administration love affair with GMOs is selling America down the river to agricultural ruin

August 21, 2011
By Ethan A. Huff

(NaturalNews) The freedom to grow one's own food is a foundational pillar of civilization, and one that absolutely must persist if humanity itself is to exist. But this freedom is rapidly disintegrating in the US, as multinational corporations like Monsanto seize control of the American food supply through the widespread propagation of patented, genetically-modified (GM) seeds and crops. And the Obama administration is currently at the helm of orchestrating this hostile takeover, as it continues to openly support any and all efforts to spread GMOs far and wide, whether it be on private farmland or public wildlife refuges.

The American landscape is quickly becoming nothing but a giant patchwork of corporately-controlled biotechnology farms, with individual landowners biting hook, line, and sinker at the bait by willingly tilling their fields with "frankenseeds," and collectively dousing them in millions of tons of chemical herbicides and pesticides like Monsanto's Roundup formula. And now the US government wants to plant GMOs in national wildlife refuges, where the crops' easily-transmissible transgenic traits are sure to permanently pollute pristine ecosystems all across the US (http://www.naturalnews.com/032726_G...). S&P and the Bilderbergers: All Part of the Plan?

"Bilderberg isn’t a secret society. . . . It’s a meeting of people who represent a certain ideology. . . . Not OWG [One World Government] or NWO [New World Order] as too many people mistakenly believe. Rather, the ideology is of a ONE WORLD COMPANY LIMITED."

What just happened in the stock market? Last week, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose or fell by at least 400 points for four straight days, a stock market first.

The worst drop was on Monday, 8-8-11, when the Dow plunged 624 points. Monday was the first day of trading after US Treasury bonds were downgraded from AAA to AA+ by Standard and Poor’s.

But the roller coaster actually began on Tuesday, 8-2-11, the day after the last-minute deal to raise the U.S. debt ceiling -- a deal that was supposed to avoid the downgrade that happened anyway five days later. The Dow changed directions for eight consecutive trading sessions after that, another first.

The volatility was unprecedented, leaving analysts at a loss to explain it. High frequency program trading no doubt added to the wild swings, but why the daily reversals? Why didn’t the market head down and just keep going, as it did in September 2008?

The plunge on 8-8-11 was the worst since 2008 and the sixth largest stock market crash ever. According to Der Spiegel, one of the most widely read periodicals in Europe: Read More

If You See Something, Say Something

August 20, 2011

Jeff Berwick, The Dollar Vigilante
8-18-11

The Department of Homeland Security has just released another important video warning the American populace about the scourge of white, yuppy-looking people who leave briefcases unattended!

This, of course, is because of the large amount of briefcases that have been exploding across America killing… zero people.

Once again, Janet Napolitano, is asking that “if you see something, say something”.

We’d like to thank her for once again providing us with the opportunity to point out a few of the suspicious activities we’ve noticed of late.

It’s hard to know where to begin – there are so many things.

We find it suspicious that both Janet Napolitano nor Michael Chertoff have been investigated or charged for their part in the “underwear bomber” fiasco where a man without a passport and actually on the terrorist watch-list was escorted past security and put on the plane with a bomb in his boxers at a time when Chertoff had a stake in the backscatter x-ray machines and was leading the biggest lobby group to have these machines put in all US airports hours after the “attack”.

It’s also suspicious that George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld have not been arrested for lying to get the US into an occupation of Iraq that has now lasted eight years, cost trillions of dollars and killed tens of thousands of US military and more than a million Iraqi civilians.

It’s also suspicious that it says in the US constitution that nothing but gold or silver can be money used by the Government of the United States yet Ben Bernanke and the Federal Reserve issue paper units which are said to be the only legal tender in the US by the US Government – and even when asked if “gold is money”, he does not even pay mention to this fact.

As well, it is suspicious that not one person in the US Government has been investigated for having shipped thousands of high powered weapons to Mexican drug cartels.

It’s also suspicious that there has never been any proof shown for the Osama bin Laden assassination and now most of the members of Seal Team 6 have been killed and there is evidence that almost all of the reported details of the murder are false.

It’s strange, also, that the most outspoken and authoritative analyst against BP after the Gulf Oil spill died a few days after he spoke up about it, in his hot tub.

Not to mention the fact that nearly all members of congress accept bribes (called donations) from corporate and foreign lobby groups to do their bidding.

Or how about the fact that Nobel Peace Prize winner, Barack Obama, first stated that his bombing of Libya does not make it a war action and that the bombing would be over in “days, not weeks”, over five months ago?

This list really could go on forever Janet. There is so much obviously improper conduct going on in the Washington, District of Criminals area.

The people of the US have been brainwashed by mainstream media presstitutes since birth, drugged (flouride in water, adderall and other toxic chemicals given to schoolchildren), put in prisons (public schools and colleges) for the entirety of their formative years and most of the food system in the US has been systematically degraded to the point where most receive little or no nutritition from food and you have outlawed natural foods such as raw milk. In fact, almost all the actions of your government has caused most of the problems in American society today.

Yet, your government says that “terrorists” are now your “average American” and police have been instructed to treat anyone who speaks about the constitution or about freedom as a criminal.

So, yes, we have seen some things and we are saying it to you now.

As for that greying, white, 50 year old man in a business suit who forgot his briefcase, excuse us if we don’t call the government to deal with it. After all, it is the government that are the criminals.

Dollar Vigilantes every day are waking up to the criminality of their own government and are aware of its coming collapse. We focus on moving our assets and in many cases, our ass, outside of the jurisdiction of our own government for this reason.

Obama’s New Executive Order = Obama‘s ’Dream Act’

House Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith claims that President Barack Obama’s new Executive Order that stopped automatic deportation of illegal aliens is more than just a back-door passage of the “Dream Act” but actually something that undermines both the Legislative and the Judicial branches of our government. According to Rep. Smith, the new order permits:

- hundred of thousands of illegals to be given work authorizations, allowing them to compete with Americans for jobs

- a presidential task force to decide who receives amnesty and who does not, creating even more bureaucracy in Washington

- the reversal of a judge’s decision to send a person back to their home country

As reported here on Thursday, President Obama signed another controversial Executive Order before jetting off to nine days of vacation on Martha’s Vineyard. This latest order stopped the automatic deportation of illegal aliens and appears to some in Congress as the President bypassing Congress and effectively creating laws through imposing regulations. With this latest order, President Obama has now created more regulations in 2 1/2 years than any other President has done in the same time frame.

What QE3 Will Look Like

"The end game has arrived for the current monetary system which began with Bretton Woods in 1944. The sub prime crisis, the Fukushima earthquake and nuclear disaster and the PIGS (Portugal, Ireland, Greece & Spain) were the final nails in the coffin of the dollar reserve system."

The recent financial fireworks in the US and in Europe have made it clear that QE3 is close at hand. The third installment described herein is much more than just another revving up of the printing presses, as it will involve a paradigm shift intent on restoring currencies and maintaining the current power structure.

It's an all too common mistake to see the central bankers and their mainstream media propagandists derided as incompetent fools. These “fools”control the money and the message and it's their game to lose. Most pundits think the powers that be have lost control and can do little more than kick the can down the road. They are wrong. We are about to witness one of the greatest orchestrated events in human history; a monumental sleight of hand that will restore economic prosperity, keep the masses happy and most importantly- maintain the parasitic elites in power.

Tin Hats or Tin Men

Mainstream sources deride conspiracy theorists as simpletons unable to deal with the complexity of the world; the tin hat crowd are in need of a “God” or “bogeyman” to explain the evils of the world. The sophisticated academics and journalists tell us that history is the product of countless interests fighting for limited resources. The cabal of bankers is nothing more than a mirage conjured up in the thirsty imagination of simpletons.

The States Were Sovereign When They Created The Federal Government

Do You Understand the Constitution?

August 16, 2011

By John Sutherland
8/15/2011

Having had some rather intense inline correspondence with conservatives in recent days who were basically attacking Ron Paul as a kook, wanting the federal government to perform actions that they think is important, regardless of the constitutionality, and having the federal government control the actions of the states. My only retort to them was to follow the Constitution, and to which, of course, I was told I just don’t understand the Constitution.

So, to simplify and declare my understanding and my position regarding the Constitution, here goes:

1.Representatives of the states wrote the Constitution, and with that document created the federal government.

2.The states are thus sovereign over the federal government – it is their offspring.

3.The federal government charter (the Constitution) lists exactly what the three branches of the federal government are supposed to do for the states in the realm of responsibility and shared sovereignty.

4.In areas where there are constitutional questions, the Federalist Papers provide extremely good understanding of exactly what the Founders had in mind when they drafted the Constitution, but the states should decide the resolution to the constitutional questions – not the federal government (and, yes, I am well aware of the impact that John Marshall had on the early supreme court).

5.In general, the federal government is supposed to 1) assist the states by presenting a united front in the international arena, and 2) to facilitate and make easier and more successful the interactions between the states. The federal government is a support mechanism for the states, not the controlling bureaucracy.

6.The states did not consider the Constitution to be a controlling document over the states. See the ninth and tenth amendments. So, as much as I like the concept of the recent McDonald v. Chicago Second Amendment decision, I would not suggest that it can control the states.

7.At no time (from my research) have the states surrendered their own sovereignty to the federal government. They may have shared some sovereignty, but the states are still legally sovereign over the federal government.

8.In cases where the federal government violates its contract terms with the states, it is the state governments that must rein in the federal government – not the people. The federal government does not work for the people – it works for the state governments. Witness the total shunning of the people by the federal government when 1 million marched on Washington a few years back.

9.The states have, however, surrendered so much of their own power to the federal government that the subject of self-sufficiency is perhaps out of the question at this time. That’s a crime to the citizens of the states, because without the states being independent and self-sufficient, the states have no means of protecting their own citizens from onerous foreign government attacks (witness Arizona’s legal challenges brought against it by both the federal government and the Mexican government).

10.In full consideration of the current lawless and global elite controlled federal government, it is the state governments that must 1) regain their self-sufficiency status as soon as humanly possible, and 2) confront the federal government each and every time it violates the law as established by the Constitution – especially in times like these.

Often we Americans, including our conservative colleagues, are coming off dumber than rocks with regard to understanding our own state and federal constitutions and our own laws. From our own government employees we need to start hearing the complaint that the ‘all the people know the law and we can’t get away with anything.’ Then we will know that we’re being effective.

For American citizens to find fault with any presidential candidate, with any elected representative, or with any hired government employee, because they are following our laws is the height of ignorance and stupidity.

If we, as American citizens, can’t learn about and follow our own laws, how can we demand that members of our government do so? Are we screwed as a country because we are so dumb we can’t learn our own constitutions and laws?

Somehow I know we are better than that.

Obama Readies Citizen Spies For Action

"The paranoia that the DHS is trying to illicit goes far beyond the absurd, but this is what happens in all countries that devolve into tyranny."

August 12, 2011

By Brandon Smith
Alt-Market.com

I think at this point it is fair to say that the name “Barack Obama” has become irrevocably synonymous with the phrase “Brownshirts”, and with very good reason. Riding the euphoric wave of a Prozac addled collectivist saturated puppy-love election season, the teleprompter dependent basketball playing android immediately launched several programs designed to centralize community organization using federal oversight. One of these initiatives, ‘The Universal Voluntary Public Service Program’, stood out as one of the most unabashedly fascist concepts to come out of any presidential administration since Franklin D. Roosevelt’s forced internment of innocent Japanese American’s. The idea of requiring citizens to “volunteer” for quasi-military or federal service and subsequent statist indoctrination didn’t play too well with the majority of the public, and has, for now, been abandoned.

The problem with governments with aspirations of totalitarianism, however, is that they never actually fully give up on any reach for power. Instead, they shelve one tactic and try out another, until the citizenry starts to nibble the bait.

To be fair, this behavior was going on long before Obama, and his particularly unhinged presidency is only an amalgamation of all those corrupt puppet politicians that came before him. Much of the police state apparatus we see being slowly inserted into our daily lives was constructed in stages. George W. Bush’s implementation of the Patriot Acts, the DHS, and the FISA Bill, for instance, gave Obama an easy framework of tyranny to build on. Whoever globalists deem suitable to replace Obama in 2012 or 2016 (if we even have the option of rigged elections by then), will certainly carry on where he left off (perhaps Rick Perry can have an insincere prayer circle with his Fusion Center hit squads before heading out to attend another Bilderberg conference). Anticipating the Coming Convulsions as the Welfare State Dies

August 9, 2011By Kurt Schlichter

It’s already happening – the liberal dream of a perpetual social welfare state where deadbeat liberal constituencies feed off of the work of productive conservative citizens in perpetuity is dying. There’s no doubt about that; the only question left is how long and hard the process will be as the hideous leviathan the utopian liberal establishment has created convulses and dies.

It’s going to die hard. And ugly.

The collapse is well-underway in Europe – Greece has gone from the cradle of democracy to a cesspool of union-fueled mobs – but America faces the same trauma. As the contradictions inherent in the vision of a societal plan based on the notion that an ever-expanding pool of Democratic-voting serfs sucking the wealth away from the mostly Republican-oriented producers who labored to create it become more apparent, the reactions and rear-guard efforts of the terminal liberal elite will grow more extreme.

We are already seeing the liberal elite lash out in anger and frustration at what is a perfect storm of failure. Glenn Reynolds, the legendary Instapundit, chronicles the daily disintegration, while the brilliant Mark Steyn’s cheery new book, After America: Get Ready for Armageddon, drops on August 8, 2011 – I’ll race you to Amazon to get a copy.

As the three components of the liberal establishment – the media, the unions and politicians – rage at the dying of the liberal light, the insanity meter will swing far into the red. It’s already begun. The Tea Party has dared to speak the truth, and the uncomfortable realities it has pointed out have destroyed the bogus consensus that has allowed the debt Titanic to sail giddily on toward the iceberg. That’s why the establishment response is to demonize the popular movement. We’re “terrorists” or “lunatics” or, bizarrely, “hobbits.” Our crime is telling the truth. Read More

The Rioting Underclass: Product of a Diseased Culture

"Pressure from above, pressure from below; It’s about eviscerating the middle class by manipulating them to demand their own enslavement"

August 9, 2011
By Paul Joseph Watson

The riots that have gripped London and swept other major cities in the UK are the product of a diseased culture that leads to violence and mayhem which ultimately only serves to benefit the ruling elite in its bid to eviscerate the middle class by manipulating them to demand their own enslavement.

Firstly, anyone who truly believes that the rioters are burning and looting to protest any legitimate grievances, at least ones that they are consciously aware of, needs their head examining.

A BBC video clip features audio of a group of drunk teenage girls describing how fun it is to engage in wanton violence and thieving. In a transparent and moronic attempt to justify their actions, the girls begin babbling about “the government….conservatives or whatever….I don’t know,” before responding to a question about why they are attacking local residents of their own community by snorting, “It’s the rich people, the people that have got businesses and that’s why all of this happened because of rich people.” Read More
