We’re rapidly approaching the point at which impeachment is introduced into the equation.
The president has ignored Congress on declaring war. The president has ignored federal law on exempting people from health care reform. And now the president may well ignore Congress on spending.
In short, he has decided that he’ll wage war against any country he wants, exempt anyone he wants from federal law, and spend whatever he wants on whatever he wants.
Regardless of what the Constitution explicitly says.
Regardless of the fact only Congress has the power to appropriate funds.
Regardless of the fact only Congress has the power to declare war.
Regardless of the fact federal law didn’t give him the power to exempt.
