The cartoonist Fuller depicts the billionaire-builder Donald Trump dressed in a circus-master’s outfit and holding in one hand a red, white and blue megaphone and in the other hand a hoop blazing with a fire that says Birth Certificate Question through which a terrified and desperate Obama is leaping.

That about sums up what has happened over the past month or so, as Trump decided to ask the simple question legions of people have been asking and legions of lawyers have been waging lawsuits about for the past almost-three years: Where’s the birth certificate?

Instantly the craven media and assorted Hollywood types who have been effectively conspiring with Team Obama to keep all aspects of his life hidden from public view mobilized to quash Trump, as usual choosing Rule #12 from the Chicago Marxist Saul Alinsky’s famous book, Rules for Radicals: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” In essence, go after your enemy personally and not his business because people are more vulnerable and hurt faster than institutions.

But whoever was responsible for the vast media blackout on the birth-certificate subject never counted on a person like Trump, who is immune to intimidation or threats. In short, they were messing with the wrong person.

Here’s a reminder that the vast majority of Americans are amongst the most gullible people on the planet. President Obama’s ability to pose as a “tough guy” over the contrived fable of the Bin Laden raid, allied with a return to simple-minded Bush-style terror fearmongering and helpful media spin on the economy, has enabled him to secure a massive 13 point bounce in approval ratings.



From being in a position where even Democrats were so convinced that Obama would lose the election they were prepared to declare him incompetent and evict him from power, a majority of Americans now think that Obama deserves a second term.

Back in November, the president’s approval rating stood at a paltry 47 per cent, but following the Bin Laden raid and Obama’s hastily executed photo-op at ground zero, allied to his administration’s fearmongering about Al-Qaeda reprisal attacks, it now stands at 60 per cent according to a AP-GfK survey, a whopping 13 point bounce from the all time low.

After the staged Bin Laden Hollywood production, 65 per cent of Americans now believe that Obama is a “strong leader,” and 69 per cent say they trust him to keep the nation safe.

Meanwhile, although unemployment has risen to 9 per cent, while people on food stamps are at an all time record high, as house prices continue to plunge with 25% of all mortgages now underwater, and the dollar continues to sink, Americans have also bought the corporate media’s spin on the “improving” financial picture, with a majority now approving of Obama “stewardship” of the economy.  Read More

While the establishment media was busy parroting President Obama’s announcement of Osama bin Laden’s supposed assassination, reporting the unsubstantiated claims as if they were unquestionable facts, much of the so-called “alternative” press was far more cautious — and accurate, it turns out. But more importantly, with the new official storyline indicating that bin Laden was in fact unarmed, bigger and much more important questions are beginning to emerge.

In terms of coverage, it turns out that the skeptical approach proved far superior in terms of getting it right. Countless mainstream sources were so confident in Obama’s word that they reported many of the claims as fact without even attributing them to the President.

But the official White House narrative has been changed so many times in recent days that now it’s almost unrecognizable. Democracy is the worst form of government, Sir Winston Churchill once said... except for every other form of government. In other words, all forms of government are atrociously bad, and democracy may merely be the least bad of the bunch. I certainly wouldn't want to live under a dictatorship, socialism or communism. So I like the idea of democracy, and I wish it would work better for America. But it isn't working. That much is clear. Democracy is failing America, and we can't just blame it on the politicians and the corporations. People actually vote for their own self-destruction by electing professional liars to represent them.

At its core, the democratic process of electing representatives is a popularity contest. The voters inevitably end up supporting whichever lawmakers offer the best handouts right now, regardless of the long-term consequences to the nation. A family enjoyed the experience of a lifetime Thursday morning when a pod of spinner dolphins swam up to them while they snorkeled at Honolua Bay. The dolphins put on a show before moving out to deeper water. The state recommends that swimmers maintain a 150-foot buffer zone from the wild animals, but there are times when “dolphins do approach people,” said aquatic biologist Skippy Hau.

As the story of the death of Osama bin Laden grows more curious by the day, it's time we call in that legendary Honolulu police detective of yesteryear, Charlie Chan, to visit the scene.

With his Number One Son, Jimmy, Chan arrives at the former hideout of the deceased mass murderer, where a small crowd of on-lookers still lingers. This conversation ensues:

Jimmy: Gee, Pop, this doesn't look like a mansion. It looks more like a three-story police headquarters in a provincial capital in Guatemala.

Chan: True, but look around, Jimmy. Few houses are nearby, and none is bigger. Nor is there another house surrounded by a tall wall topped with barbed wire. But you are right, Number One Son. It does look like a jail, but given its secluded location and size, to some here it might appear to be the home of a rich man.

Jimmy: If bin Laden was hiding here from the Pakistani authorities, as well as from the Americans, isn't this a high profile place to hide?

Chan: Yes, Jimmy. And within your question lives another: Was he hiding from the Pakistani authorities?

Jimmy: They said they were hunting him.

I take no pleasure in saying this, but I don’t believe it.

It is a sad state of affairs that we have reached the point where you can’t believe anything you hear. In fact, you can’t even believe what you see.

Call me whatever name you want to, ridiculing me won’t shut me up. The truth is you just can’t believe it any more.

It, you say. What is it?

Everything…anything…you just can’t believe it anymore. Modern-day America is just one big pack of lies, told by a cadre of liars.

I’m sorry…whatever it is…I don’t believe it.

How about you? Do you believe them? Do you believe the malarkey they are trying to feed us?

I’m not sure which makes me angrier…the lying…or them thinking I am dumb enough to believe the lies.

That’s how a former U.S. intelligence agent described the group Hezbollah to 10News in San Diego. “They certainly have had successes in big-ticket bombings.”

The local news organization interviewed the agent for a story on how Hezbollah has been creeping closer to the the U.S. border, and has now apparently been spotted in the Mexican border town of Tijuana.

“We are looking at 15 or 20 years that Hezbollah has been setting up shop in Mexico,” the agent told 10News.
