We live in troubling times as the Middle East is in turmoil, energy supplies threatened, and major food shortages around the globe. Oil is over 100.00 a barrel, and commodity markets consumed by the crisis in Japan. The price of silver and gold are trending up to new highs. As Americans witness these issues swirling around them and on the news, many are taking precautions and planting more vegetable gardens, and stocking up on food–it just makes good sense to be prepared.
